I think if I was in the same position as Ronaldinho and Adriano I would end up not giving a fuck as well, use my fame and money, party my ass off.
Life's short, you know :D

Yes at times we were richer, but never before has the difference been so big. Platini needs to do something fast.
Are you sure about this?

Do you know what was Berlusconi doing in late 80's/early 90's? Did you check the world record transfers? You can see teams like Parma and Lazio in top 10, spending 50m eur on one player.

From 1989 till 1998 every year (bar 1991) there was an Italin team in the CL final. From 1989 till 1999 (bar 1996) there was at least one Italian team in the UEFA Cup finals.

Why do you think the Italians dominated for a decade? The difference between serie A and all the others was huge. Don't you think it was because the Italians were buying everything that moves and the others could get only what was left for them by the Italians?

during those times Italian teams were full of italian players and we produced a some of our best ever players;

1) maldini
2) cannavaro
3) nesta
4) baggio
5) rossi
6) fererra
7) del piero
8) totti
9) rossi
10) viali
11) zola
12) perruzzi
13) buffon
14) vieri

and the list really goes on . Sure we had money but we had a lot of home talent. The premir league has 35% english players. Even there managers arent english. I can name about 5 out of 20 teams that have english managers. Its a sign that english dominance is soley based on money. Sure they have gerrad and thats about it. No way are the likes of rooney or lampard world class

Even worse.
Italian had great talents and they were still buying the best foreigners, which made the gap even bigger between them and the others.

And what should the French and the Dutch say about Italy? Van Basten, Gullit, Rajkaard, Kluivert, Davids, Seedorf.....they were all tempted by Berlusconi's millions.
What should the French say? Henry, Trezeguet, Platini, Zidane, Deschamps. They were all tempted by Agnelli's millions.

Lets not play victims here and lets not cry foul when we were doing exactly the same thing.

the difference is that the ruling on foreigners has changed
back then when we had the power we would have bought complete squads of foreigners as well if it was allowed
but in the end that will be the downfall of 'English' football
they are not investing in homegrown players
the first signs can be heard in uefa headquarters, they want a more balanced power
that is more attractive, an all English final year in year out would be killing the competition

Not anymore I'm afraid. With Leonardo in-charge, the system the tactics, everything will change I think.

Leonardo probably sees selling Kaka is wise (If in return they're getting someone like Ribery) who can play in more than two positions.

Kaka is no doubt their best player since he got to Milan, but with Kaka's presence they're obliged to build a team around him. They can't change their system nor their tactics. And it was proven when he got injured.

Kaka to Madrid will be useful to Milan, that's what I think. I could be wrong but they'll look better and stronger than this year. Which means fighting till the end for the Scud.
Come to think of it, this seems plausible too. It could be a blessing in disguise.

Alexandre Pato’s agent has said he is “enthusiastic” about Chelsea’s interest and told Milan to make its position clear.

While this evening the Stamford Bridge side released an official statement denying it had made any offer for Kaka, they did not mention his Rossoneri teammate.

“Milan have to decide Pato’s situation,” agent Gilmar Veloz told Antenna 3 television.

We are enthusiastic about Chelsea’s interest in the player, but the final decision is entirely down to Milan.

Pato has a contract with Milan, but if the club reached an agreement with Chelsea, then we would be willing to negotiate.”
It is reported Carlo Ancelotti wants to bring The Duck with him to London and the club has offered £45m for the teenage hitman.

At the moment, I cannot give any guarantees to the fans that Pato will remain at Milan,” warned Veloz.

“I do not own the club and so only a spokesman for Milan can answer that question.”

Rossoneri fans are already stationed out in front of the club headquarters at Via Turati to protest Kaka’s possible move to Real Madrid.

This reminds me of last season for us when Van Persie, Adebayor, Hleb, The Flamster, Fabregas and Gallas were all rumored to be on their way out. It wasn't a happy summer.

I wouldn't thought in a million years that i'd say this but i'm actually feeling sorry for milan fans for the first time. Selling two of you're best players in the same summer is just too much. I'd absalutely hate it if that ever happened in our club.

I think losing Kaka is a big loss for them but Pato is even a greater loss. Personaly i think pato will turn out to be a Huge talent in the future.......

Yes Pato is indeed special. I remember the first game he had for Milan, the one against Napoli, the expectations on Pato were so high, he came with a big price tag and he was dubbed the next big thing in Brazil, he had a good tournament in the Club World Cup and Milan fans had waited for him for 6 months. I for one, thought he would crack under the immense pressure, but he played a very good game and he dealt with the pressure like he had decades of experience. From that day i was convinced that he was going to be big, he had the talent and he had the right head.
