I'd be convinced that we're the stronger team but aware that in knock-outs one single mistake might result with elimination, especially if your opponents ain't no pushovers.

I won't be as confident as you are.
This is my statement:

They won't be pushovers, they will be a hard test. But i will be shocked and extremely surprised if they could eliminate us over two legs. I'm not saying we'd beat them 3-0 or something, i am saying it will be tight. But over two legs, i don't give neither Athletico nor Fiorentina much of a chance of eliminating us.

Nor would I. Arsenal are too strong for the other teams in the knockouts. Assuming the bulk of the squad is healthy that is.

What do you mean by "final game suspended"?

Btw this reminds of Euro 2000. Nuno Gomes banned for 9 months or whatever it was.

Drogba will be suspended for four games.

However, if he steps out of line again (in the next two years or whatever) he will automatically have to serve the other two games of the ban.

Do other countries not have suspended prison sentences?

Sure, but the term suspension is unclear to me. Isn't it common to say that a player gets "a 2 match suspension" for doing something in a game? And doesn't that mean he's banned from the next two games? Are these people just using the wrong word?

Both can be correct, it just depends on context.

Welcome to the USA, home of the suspended sentence.

We have them in Belgium, but we don't use the word suspended. There's obviously an equivalent to suspended, but you couldn't use it in Dutch in this context.

Not strange at all for me, I was sure you'll be the first one to provide such information.
Well then consider it strange that it took me 5 days to realize that the draw was already done for the first two rounds :D
