Yes and no.

They probably couldn't conduct business the way they did last summer, but I'm sure they'll find a way round it.

Also, I don't know what Real's financial figures for this year will be. I saw some interim statement from them a while ago suggesting they thought things were going okay financially.

I don't think debt is a problem in this.

It's all about losses and investment from owners.

Liverpool would be in a dodgy position because the interest they pay on their debt means they made a significant loss last year.

So essentially for the next 2 seasons clubs CAN spend what the want so long as after their debt service they make a profit?

That's gay. They should add something like total debt can't be over X% of Revenue.

What a downer of a final, but the good news is that Jozzaaayyyyy will probably be moving onto Madrid :xfinger:

It was fun meeting this one guy at the bar who was wearing an Inter jersey and after the game I asked him why he was an Inter fan and he promptly responded by telling me that he only wore it because he is Italien and he wanted to support an Italian side. But then he went on to tell me that he a Madrid fan through and through :andyandbarcelona:

What is the situation with Barcelona's debt? I remember hearing that it was in the hundreds of millions so why are they still buying players such as Ibrabitch and David Villa while debt free Juventus is penny pinching?

Sportfive agreed to pay that divided over the course of 3 years IIRC and we had a debt of 100m too to cover both the demolition and the building work.
