It's not being biased. He is the captain at club level, a great leader on the pitch and a fantastic player to boot. Arguably my favourite player in the Premiership along with Fabregas. His never die attitude is what impresses me the most. True Captain and a credit to the English game.

I am sorry, but effort does amount to a lot. Its not just about goals. A player's service for the team, his involvement in building up play, assists, retrieving the ball, pressing defenders... all make a great player. And Rooney does score his share of goals and ferguson never stops thanking him for the effort he puts in every game. He is UTD's most important player.

Gerrard is a better footballer than Rooney. A dynamic midfielder. A world class Striker is not a dynamic player like Rooney is. Is Messi a powerhouse? Torres? Eto'o? do I need to say more?
