regarding Malouda, given that his contract expires in a year, Aulas should be happy to get half of those 25 mil mentioned ... he is good player but no superstar to cost as much even if this is just an asking price.

Aulas has picked up an unhealthy condition after so much business deals with Chelski and Real and thinks everyone out there is as careless with their money as Roman and that incompetent idiot Calderon.

The key to getting any player is to get there quick an wrap the deal up ASAP. The longer the club knows there is interest from other clubs the increase in the value then begins. Malouda is a lost cause now. unless we have a previous agreement?

Which i doubt.

Aulas confirmed they didn't receive any offer for him, so no previous agreement.

Lyon star Florent Malouda has revealed Liverpool are hoping to sign him.

The French international is seeking to leave Lyon for a new challenge with a top European side.

Malouda claims Liverpool are leading the hunt to sign him, but that there is also interest from several Spanish sides in his signature.

Liverpool are thought to be in the market for a new left-sided winger with Boudewijn Zenden and Mark Gonzalez set to move on and Reds boss Rafa Benitez is believed to have made Malouda his top target.

Malouda says he would be interested in a possible move to Liverpool and he is hoping to have his future resolved soon.

"There are contacts with Liverpool but they haven't made an offer to Lyon yet," Malouda told Football365.

"They are a good club and play in the English league, which is very interesting.

"I have no preference, I can also move to Spain. It depends on the club's ambition and their desire to sign me.

"I don't know if my transfer price is €25 million (£17million), it could also be €35million (£27million).

"Anyway the money won't be in my pocket so I don't care.

"I agree with my chairman when he says that all Lyon transfers have to be signed before the 30th of June.

"I am leaving, it is just a question of time."

Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas insists he has not received any bid from Liverpool for Malouda.
"We have not yet had any bid for Florent Malouda," Aulas told the club's official website.

MALOUDA ADMITS REDS ADMIRATION

France winger Florent Malouda has described Liverpool as a "great club", increasing speculation the Lyon player could make the switch to Anfield.

The 27-year-old is one of a number of reported targets for Reds boss Rafael Benitez in a summer overhaul, although he has also been linked with Chelsea, Juventus and AC Milan.

"There has been contact with Liverpool, although I don't know as yet if they have shown their interest directly to Lyon," reports The Sun.

"People make their decisions based on the different leagues in different countries but I would rather decide based on the club. And Liverpool, why not? It is a great club."
