That brown header would not have been saved by any keeper. I'm not buying into all the rubbish that Buffon would have saved it either thats irrelevant. That was certainly not a keeper mistake. well you often say in other threads not to get too worked up over friendlies! If people play well in friendlies its great but if they play poory they still have time to get on their game. Plus bear in mind that he hardly plays so you can't expect him to play out of his skin.
Of course he's nowhere near buffon's level but he's not supposed to be, he's the sub remember! No point having a world class goalie as sub is there?

When he used to play for Lecce, he used to save Lecce's games loads of times (who remembers the previous season Lecce-Juve 0-0 with Chimenti producing great saves to keep a clean sheet?). I think he's not as reactive as he was with Lecce because of the lack of playing time. That's normal for all keepers, but hopefully this season Juve will go all the way to the final of Coppa Italia so he can play more games and be always ready when Buffon is injured or suspended 
I mean if we had to keep up with Van der Saar as first keeper, we can keep up with Chimenti as reserve keeper

SOm gkp need playing time to stay good
others can sit on the bench for 19 games come in in the 20th and be great obviously Chimenti doesn't belong to the latter type.
I think Juve should keep this in mind when buying a gkp I would also like to point out that our previews backups for the past 10years have been better then Chimenti
both Rampulla, Carini and Isaksson are better for being backup gpkp.
Now I am not talking about Chimenti as a first choice as a first choice he is probably better then the above lot...
But as a second choice he stinks he can't keep his game up without playing time while other keepers can
When Arsenal were looking for a new replacement since Manninger had tired they didn't look at first gkp but at
Rami Shabaan who was second choice for the Animal Farm were the X Juventino keeper Isaksson was first choice.
Shabaan was no were near the Swedish NT, and when he had his better spells he could give Isaksson a fair fight for his position, but he always played well when called upon
It is such a GKP we need, Also the GKP should look to resemble Buffon in style and physique since that will make the defending easier for the defenders since they don't have to alter their tactics at Corners etc...
Chimenti is a reaction keeper and therefor the defense and him don't gel when Buffon is another sort of Keeper...
The thing about Buffon not being prown to injury
I don't buy since he both missed WC98 and E2000 because of INjury.

Alex I was told by a Swedish guy a now that the club that Isaksson plays for Djurgardens translates Animal Farm into English.

for instance Antonioli
I think is one of the best back ups he can go 10games with Pellizzoli starting and him on the bench and when he comes on he still produces a good and often flawless performance altough he won't save the Impossible balls that World Class keepers as
Kahn, Buffon, Tomasevski, Yashin and Banks.
What I am saying is we should get a gkp that is use to being second choice and cosistant rather then a gkp like Chimenti
Who given the right amount of matches can be quite outstanding
but just playing some matches here and there is never enough to grab his form,
I also don't think its such a big lose for Carini or Isaksson or Bonnefoi to be second to Buffon since they get to watch and learn from the best......

If you guys look at the CL game in Old Trafford last year where we outplayed them with our second string team, Chimenti was awful on both goals.
The goal that was chipped over his head should've been stopped. Either you come out and catch the ball or you stay on your line and save it in front of the net. Instead, Chimenti ran out half way and watched the ball get chipped over his head. Go watch the highlights, you'll see what I'm talkin about.
