no, boakye wont.

the thing is juventus have gotten the max potential out of both matri and quag, meaning there is nothing else they can do.

with a young striker there is a chance he might break past his potential barrier.

You're missing the point Quetz. We aren't as upgraded in attack as everyone thinks.
WHile Llorente is settling in, we still have Mirko.

Although you'll disagree, imo Quag and Matri offer us nothing to justify the wages they're sitting on. While like Lion said, a young striker like Boakye has the potential to do better -- he can't really do much worse.

at least boakye has looked decent for Ghana, i don't even remember the last time matri or quags played for the NT
Very different level of pressure IMO. You're talking about 3 out of 5 strikers being new to the fold and system. It's a bit of a risk. Even when you're trying to integrate a big player like Llorente, it would make sense to have at least one back up that's likely to do his job the way these two have done whenever called upon. While I agree that Boakye/Ibarbo can have a higher ceiling with age on their side, it's probably not the best time to be breaking them in with two new strikers already on the books. This is my worry. I feel like we'll be spread out thin if Llorente were to not adjust, with really only Tevez-Vucinic to carry us through 3 tournaments.

common i know he had a good game today but we can't seriously say josipovic is a viable option for first team football
I have to agree, he showed promise but nothing more... We need to see MUCH more of him to rate him accordingly. If we send him to the fray and failed miserably due to pressure we would look like tards to the whole world.

I understand baggio{s concern about selling both of em and staying with Giovinco. If anything... i woul sell gio and Matri... THAT would be our ideal plan

Llorente, Tevez, Vucinic Quags. Add the most prepared of our youngters just in case for the ocational injury and we are good to go.

Llorente is our real concern. Afterall he played bad in 90 minutes. Friendlies where nobody in the team gives a fuck.
Not a concern yet. I'd give Llorente 6 months before judging him with regard to his place on the team. Adapting was always going to take a bit, given that he's coming from another league. The concern is that we are probably going to have 3 out 5 new strikers on the team. While Tevez offers perhaps the only real guarantee, it's very important Llorente fires coz there's not much else beyond him and Tevez/Vucinic, since Quag and Matri (good depth players) will no longer be around. This is just my two cents. Feel free to disagree.

I'd give youngsters chance. Let them learn from the best and how to fight for a place in top team. Vučinić,Tevez, Llorente and Gio are more than enough. Fifth striker should come from our youth ranks.
