i don't see him being that good either tbh. he does have a lot more skill on the ball than matri tho, so he'll probably fit in well. as far as being the goal scorer we need, i don't know. it might turn out to be a genius transfer however.

From what he has shown so far in his career, he is definitely worth what we're going to pay for him (0 transfer and 4.5 / year in wages). Even though he's not world class, I'm confident that he can score a minimum of 15 goals / Serie A season, which is a massive upgrade to what we have - for no transfer fee it's just a transfer you can't say no to.

He's had a phenomenal 11-12 season, i've watched probably 90% of Bilbao matches. If he can perform at that same level at Juventus as what he used to, this is a no-brainer deal.

On this season though, it's drama written all over it, he got subbed in a couple times, scored only one goal so far and that's pretty much it.

He's got the talent and he can be a goal scorer which is exactly what we need, but he's been warming the bench for too long now and Spaniards don't too well in Serie A.

So it's a great deal for the money he will cost and for how talented he can be but it has to be taken with a grain of salt.

maybe like 2 decades ago :D

well at least he will come free,,,, so its like if we paid 9 mils for him counting his wages in the end.

well, im not so happy about this, but i have high hopes for him and lets pray he will be the one we are looking for.

Top deal. Very good striker, a better finisher than anyone we currently have upfront, can hold the ball up well, strong in the air and has good technique. All this for free. Not a world class forward, but a definite improvement over what we have. In a way, probably better if he does come in July, at least he can have a proper pre season with us.

also is he an iaquinta like player in terms of giving up the ball and rolling on the ground 2 seconds after a defender challneges him
Llorente seems to have realised that it's impossible for big players to dive convincingly, so tends to stay on his feet and try to bully defenders instead.

We'll have Llorente - Vucinic/Giovinco and I highly doubt we'll sign another forward. Even if we do it's gonna be some young guy (Immobile etc).
You think either Matri or Quagliarella will be about next season?

If not, Juve would only have three forwards.

I'd look for a new forward and a young player to properly sort that area of the side.

But I do wonder on which position we'll invest money.
A backup CB and a backup CM, in addition to the new forward and Llorente, would be my guess.

I hope our team learns how to cross...this guy will be a beast:

@ Matri
@Quagliarella

Hope you 2 are taking notes...you have a half a season to prove your worth cuz one of you iz getting sold!!
Notice those goals from good crosses?

Hope he's not expecting any of those when he joins Juve...
