In my opinion, you are overrating Llorente. As for Ibra, he's miles ahead of our transfer target when it comes to just about any attribute besides heading and pace.
That's fine, though, your opinion is based on what you've seen, and my opinion is based on what I've seen of him. My opinion is also slightly (but not overly) influenced by the fact that La Liga, defensively, is a very weak league. One thing is playing against the defender "Hugo Tapas" week in and week out, quite another is it to perform in the defensively oriented Serie-A, where defenders press hard and leave your ankles bruised in every game.
Still, like I said, he has qualities, he's a good striker, the price is good, we can't do any better, so I'd be delighted if The Great Man ™ were to open the chequebook for this player in January.
Easy there Jem, he means something else.
First, the "top player "thing, indeed something the media is stuffing us with, and actually silly. Juventus is a team of "normal" players bar pirlo, that synergise extremely well. we see a vucinic that syngerises very well, nd doesnt even score or assist that many. the problem for a while is the striker next to him.
We have many players, that can score goals when given the chance, in diffrent ways.
Llorente, as red points out, will first of all be a good pairing with any SS we got, but will improve our play drastically.
With Llorente we would get a relatively technically gifted, physical target man. Having someone who can do what vucinic does, but much furter up the pitch, will be so amazing. on top of that we also get aeral domminance in the box, and a pretty good finisher.
Considering these things, he will bring juventus as a team to another level, while personally brings far better finishing then we got with feet or head.
And considering that, juventus will be better of with Llorente who fits so perfectly in our system, then other players who are clearly more talented individuals like villa, suarez,... because the total effect of him is better.
