I'd rather not to sign any forward in January if not a great upgrade on what we already have.

Fuck Osvaldo.
I agree with this.

If we indeed have some deal with Llorente, then getting another striker in januari would flood the striker roster, and would make it difficult for summer aquisitions

First of all, I'd take a low-cost Llorente.

But here are my concerns:

Llorente is average at best when it comes to finishing with his feet and playing football on the ground. When it comes to headers, he's a beast, I'll admit to that. But Conte doesn't play football in a way which would exploit this great skill of his. We put in few crosses per match, and when we do, most of them don't even reach their intended target. We have no natural crossers in our team, which would hurt Llorente's game.
Llorente is good technically.

Sure, he's not going to dribble past players, but you don't expect that from a target man.

He very good at playing with his back to goal and bringing other players into play - something that would benefit Marchisio and Vidal's runs from midfield a great deal.

You only need to be an okay finisher if you know how to position yourself properly. Doesn't require brilliance to take a lot of the chances Juve have been missing. And I think he's better than okay at finishing.

And then there is the issue of his physicality and ability to lead the line, which would add another dimension to Juve's play and help to open up space for other players.

So, I think you are being unfair to emphasise his heading ability - I'd say his physical presence and ability to link the play are his biggest strengths.

And if you want to look for a weakness, it'd be his pace (or lack thereof). Not that he's slow, but it could still be tactically limiting at times.

only weakness i can imagine, is counter attacks. but it shouldnt be a part of our regular game anyway.

and we have this fast paced pint size player on our bench who excells at just that

I really really hope we put in a 6M-8M bid for this guy and we sign him.

He'll be immense for us in the league and (if he can play) in the CL.

I think Dzeko and Llorente are similiar players, and I think Dzeko is the better player but as long as he's with Man. City he's impossible to acquire.

Suarez is a fantastic player, but not exactly what we need right now IMO. He'd also be crazy expensive.

Sure, he's "good" technically, but so is Quagliarella, Giovinco and Vucinic. I was under the impression we were looking for something "more"? Physical presence is a factor I didn't mention in my posts, and I agree, he has it. In fact, he has a lot of "good" qualities, and I don't think I've ever disputed that. But I was against acquiring him for a certain price. Now that the price has come down drastically, I want him to be signed. Another reason is that we realistically can't find someone else who's better than him at the present time or in the foreseeable future.

I don't know. I agree with @Red in most respects. I'm not sure if Dzeko is really the better player. From what I have seen in this season's premier and champions league he looks quite "immobile".

Of course...just sayin' the best one ;)
Skills speed size yes I agree but after watching him closely at the super cup in china and the attitude he had and his character he displayed knowing full well Juve were after him truly showed he's a fucking cunt andConte has always said the mental part of the player is more important and cavani doesn't scream Juve he screams garbage men then onto mercenary R us I'm the EPL.

You have to be a Moratti level retard to not accept this guy for free. I mean, worst case scenario is that you can sell him for 15M after 1 year if he flops and make money lol.
Technically, worst case scenario is we give him a 5-year contract worth 7M a year, he flops, we can't get rid of him because he refuses to take a pay cut and he ends up leaching off us till 2018.

He seems to be well suited to our style but I'm not so sure he'd be a 25 goals per season striker for us. But his technical abilities would definitely improve our game as he's got good technique, first touch and strength. Maybe he's not too fast but our style don't require that.

I don't know him that well but replacing Bendtner by him would be a decent improvement of our attack especially in January I guess.

with the amount of chances we create he'd be a 30+ goal striker

the kind of positions that matri and quag and vuci get in during games and waste chances you can actually see where any technically proficient striker would bury those
