In addition to that they're using the lowest form of public pressure on their players to make them stay, they have to make a public statement that they want to leave? so the person can become hated by the club fans? Way to act classy, dipshits.

I think (hope) Bayern will end up buying Martinez clause... but I don't think we find a club dumb enough to buy Llorentes clause for 36 mil. + taxes when he migh go for free in June

as for Urrutia he said that a player to leave athletic should:
.- make a public statement saying he wanted to leave
.- buy his own clause in La Liga
.- face derived taxes and legal consequences

as for what consequences could mean: for example there's a chance Athletic end up suing Bayern to FIFA if they finally get Martinez for breaking some rule about a "protection period" for contracts signed with players under 28.

some months ago rumours were he wanted to go to EPL
but now I've heard he's willing to accepyt Juve's offer.

He said he wanted to play for a club with real options of winning a Champions Leage, so it could be Juve...

He's agent is his brother... a bad mix.

I personally think Llorente is a smokescreen for Cavani or Dzeko. I know a lot of peeps think we got no chance on Cavani, but I feel like something is happening with him. And maybe, just maybe for a transfer like that the club meeds to wait till the nth hour, so that the selling club's fans have little time to react given the relationship of the club. Its either him as a best case scenario (obviously :D) or Dzeko, who we will wait for till deadline day to get on 'our terms' or as close to that as possible.

You make some interesting points about Llorente's weaknesses. I don't think any of us had considered those here given our knowledge or lack thereof, of the player's history and present. Facing competition from other players, building up form and being temperamental are important things to factor in, espesh when switching leagues and moving to a club where the pressure will perhaps be greater and the objectives, higher. With due respect to Bilbao.
