We'll it's OUR mediocrity we are quite happy with it

Third spanish team in domestic titles
one of the only three clubs in La liga which have never been to second division
115 years playing only with basque players or players formed in basque football

I prefer that, others prefer titles, big names, top level football and media recognition.

We are not doing it so bad. and we feel we will be doing it even better if we could just keep some players.

I didn't expect juventus have this classy fans ¿eh?

Only basque is a bridge to far to compete at the highest level, but i like that the club does it, and where it brought them.

Tbh, a simularity with juventus exists, where the majority of the squad has allways been italian, and we have allways been the italian top team with the highest % italians with quite a margain.

Dont say it to much tho, certain people will call you "nationalists" for it.

This.

It was always one of the reason why I liked Juve so much, we weren't one of those stupid buying clubs like merely Milan and Real always were. Now you see these buying clubs popping up everywhere. It is just that the current Italian team isn'
t doing so well, otherwise we wouldn't have bought this many non-italians. (not that I care about that at this stage)

You're correct there, but looking at each individual I find the team less attracting as in the 90's and early 00's.
Maybe that's just an opinion...
Of course, there is no doubt about that.

It's not just Italy though, football has declined tremendously in quality in the last few years.

As far as I'm concerned, the current crop of top players bar Messi and Ronaldo is not even remotely close to what we had 10 years ago.

Well, I'm not sure about that, I think money is the bigger problem here. Messi and Ronaldo play for teams that the last year always had the best players, because of money and/or (for Barca) good development of their talents.
Players are not settling the way they used to. Whenever teams like Shitty or PSG come to ask for them, chances are they are willing to make more money, as it use to be an honour before to serve a certain team. That would lead to better getting to know your team mates, developing of better strategies etc. These kind of things would help to perform better than one thought they could, a whole is bigger than the sum of things kind of deal...

Some Juventini on Facebook claims to know Pratici's son. Says Llorente to Juve done deal 22 Mill. 4 Mill 3 year contract. Don't know if it's BS or not. Thought I'd post. Llorente flying to Turin within the week.

True

Perhaps i'm subjective, but it felt like there was alot more magical players back in the 80 and 90ties(when i started watching), then nowadays
nostalgia talking imo.

the current crop of players is amazing.

i would only the quality of defenders, both cbs and fullbacks, and t a lesser extent the quality of goalies has declined.

midfidlers, and attackers are right up there with the best. in some ways they are much better than the players they are more evolved in their styles of play

Defenders are absolutely shit compared to 10 years ago, that's for sure.
