GdS still making noises about the possibility of a January transfer if Juve cough up 6-7m:

If this is true, should Juve do it?

Given how little football Llorente has played this season, would he be worth that for half a season, much of which he'd probably spend trying to regain match fitness/sharpness?

I suspect Juve may be better off waiting until the summer and allowing Llorente a full pre-season to get fit and adjusted rather than him trying to deal with the pressure of joining Juve and being thrown in when he won't be at anything like his best.
I'd like to bring him here now. Simply because of the off chance that he gets a great start and surprises us with how fast he regains form. It's not like he's been sitting on a couch for half a year - he's been training and he's determinde to prove himself.

If we do not bring him not, we really need one of our youngsters back - I'd prefer Immobile.

Well, we should totally do it, IF thats possible.

I wouldnt worry about fitness and sharpness. Do you remember conte's first 2 months at juve ? didnt play most of the new players including vidal, cause they needed to accustom to the team first.
I recon he wong bring Llorente, before he knows he's ready for it.

Also, its just freaking serie a for a while, half februari its for real in the CL knockouts, by then we should know where he stands, and wether we'll let him regain form and sharpness in serie a, or allready rely on him against celtic

if we had milan's lab, who would give him injections, he might go trough his anckle, cause the entire tendon would be inflammated, even reaching the calf

yeah, that would be half a year layoff, and possible chirurgical removal of scartissue

thank god we have competent staff :D

Get him now, sell Matri/Quag while they still have any value left. Make up the difference there.

We could easily sell matri or quag for close to what we could potentially get Llorente for.

If we get Llorente this winter for 7-8m, we could make up that in selling one of the other two.
This. Waiting til Jan. will make sure we're not getting him. I always believe a pending done deal is media bullshit.

We're gonna get Osvaldo or other so-so Italians if we dont move fast, but isnt that typical in our forward hunt..

I'd love to see him here now. One of the main reasons is that he'd get to his best for for the summer, he'd already learn language and get to know league. I'm also pretty sure he'd score many goals eventhough he's off-form, he'd make us better. On the other hand, paying 7-8mln at this point is really a lot IMO. It's just 6 months when his contract expires and that's like 1/3 of his price. But I'd probably be very, very tempted to make that bid because it could mean a lot to us.

If confirmed after January, Llorente I'm sure will start to learn Italian.

In all seriousness, Conte was pretty candid and honest about Llorente in his press conference, fairly sure that its all but confirmed to happen if not now then in July.
With Conte being very open today, Marotta will probably tell us more on what's happening on Sunday.
