Even this season Giovinco has 300 minutes more spent on the pitch compared to Mirko. So no, not really.

Pretty sure it's Llorente - Giovinco partnership next season with Mirko coming from the bench and being used as a rotation.
Has there ever been a striker partnership with a greater height difference than Llorente-Giovinco?

GdS still making noises about the possibility of a January transfer if Juve cough up 6-7m:

http://www.gazzetta.it/Calciomercat...subito-athletic-apre-porta-913679644817.shtml

If this is true, should Juve do it?

Given how little football Llorente has played this season, would he be worth that for half a season, much of which he'd probably spend trying to regain match fitness/sharpness?

I suspect Juve may be better off waiting until the summer and allowing Llorente a full pre-season to get fit and adjusted rather than him trying to deal with the pressure of joining Juve and being thrown in when he won't be at anything like his best.

Hard decision. How long would he need to reach the physical level to really join the team? How long would he need to adapt to our game? How would the other attackers react?

sign him for 4-5m and start Gio-Mirko and put him in min 60-70 if needed for those BonBon/Pirlo long balls. Start him vs meelan in the Coppa Italia and slowly but surely will get his form back...NOW...

...The problem is Blabao's Prez still wants 36m for him. :sergio:

Conte is a real sticker for having them train with the team for a while before throwing them out there, so I doubt we'd see him on the pitch for the next two months if we got him now anyway.

haha really? What a stubborn douche.

Like u think he would figure out 20 million last summer .. or 6 million now .. is better then nothing in the summer. Heck he could just put it all straight into their youth system so he can create more of their specific breed of non ethnic players they crave so much.

Get him now, sell Matri/Quag while they still have any value left. Make up the difference there.

We could easily sell matri or quag for close to what we could potentially get Llorente for.

If we get Llorente this winter for 7-8m, we could make up that in selling one of the other two.

Bilbao's president needs to be convinced that the point he wanted to make by being so stubborn has already been made. Everyone gets it: Bilbao are about nurturing basque talent and once you're in it's terribly difficult to leave. Whether or not he lets Llorente go now or waits until June, no one will ever doubt this.

He needs to be convinced of that, and if anyone can do it: it's the Great Man.

I still entertain a small hope of him joining us in January :xfinger:

Best option IMO, won't happen though

That's exactly what I thought. Totally agree.
