That's perhaps true. But I didn't think the forum was in as bad shape as everyone else seems to think, which is why I never asked for help in the first place.

I suggest less discussion and more action, hit the iron while it's hot.

I certainly hope this 'clean-up' will take off, looking forward to some changes.

By the way Andy, thanks for classifying me as a 'better member'.
Don't thank me...its the truth. Sure, we don't always agree on everything, however you do know a lot about football.

We should have a mass un-banning of some of the better posters who were banned, thus giving them one more chance. You lay down the law for the FINAL time, and if they break the rules once after a warning they are gone forever. You must make that perfectly clear so there will not be any confusion like last time..

I'll take the job on two conditions, Seven comes back with a final chance and snoop gets hired as a bookmaker.

And if Tom does not want the job, I suggest Paul, Black Mamba or Fliakis for the role.

Snoop as a bookmaker?? you gotta be kidding me.

Agreed. A quick review of the banned members list would quickly indicate spammers, opposition fans with the sole purpose of causing trouble, and then posters like seven, claire etc.. I know they're hardly alike but in any case posters who have either been misunderstood, or simply broke the rules but want a second chance.

I say wipe the slate clean for those members but make it painfully obvious what the rules are and that the mods decision is final. Also a page with information on each mod would be a nice touch, make them more approachable and what ahve you.

I take it that jeeks should be made a mod then, not sure about the snoop as bookmaker thing though mate, unless its a straight replacement for yourself in which case it would make sense

Maybe as yet another point the whole vbookie, vplaza etc could be suspended whilst the forum itself is addressed, then be gradually reintroduced as and when the owner sees fit?

Why? What's the problem in having him as a bookmaker?

Thats because I don't see him. Since when does he suit this thing? There are lot of members who would like this Job. Don't know why snoop has to take it though. and TBH I better have a pole about this than deciding whether snoop is good or not.

I'll take woodyp for example. he showed more Interest in this than snoop.

Not a bad suggestion, we could keep this inactive during the changes.

Anyone think it would be good with a yellow/red card system for warnings? I could set something like that up.

hey, that could be fun :D

2 yellows lead to red - temp ban

two reds - permanent ban (like in premiership, what is that all about? 2 reds and out for 5 games?:D)

Marty if you want my opinion this one actually sounds cool to me. Its akin to a three strikes and you're out system, technically.

One yellow, PM warning from a mod
Two - 7 day ban
Two red, permanent IP ban

Oh sod it, FLI FOR MOD! :weee:

god i'm getting carried away now :p

That's just amazing, I love it. I have seen boards with a warning meter, yellow and red cards fit more here.
