When you consider that Biabiany was there next preference, you can again see, even he isn't similar to Quag. They were looking at a different type of player. Quag to me would be a replacement for Klose.

Maybe coz they aren't as known to the media. It would've only helped his cause to specify and appease the fans that Gio, Quag, Pogba, Vidal (lol) etc were all considered since they were selling Hernanes. Arguably the best player. Theres a good chance that they didn't have a list of 10 players and he was specific about the ones that actually said no.

I defended Quag up until now but he really should have left this window. If the club informed him he's not going to play he should take the first train to Roma and go. He'd be starter for Lazio considering Klose was on his way out.
