lack of goals he scored for us in the league? reason why we had to chase another 2 strikers? he is good but not satisfying... carrol was a flop transfer when he went to liverpool for 35 million

We chased another two strikers coz he was injured. Incase you're referring to Matri and Toni. Vucinic came on Conte's insistence and Quag had still not recovered. It could've perhaps been a very different story for him, had he not been injured when Conte arrived.

yes, and even after he returned from injury he scored regularly when he was playing and scored some crucial goals

if Rakib thinks Quag was a flop transfer then Matri must be one to which he is not either, both have done what was asked and both have scored crucial goals

Just like 'if' Matri stayed at Juve, he'd displace Llorente and score 20 goals. Quag has been extremely unlucky for a season and a half for things that weren't in his control. It's true. It's not an excuse. Because he has proved to be one if the most effective strikers on the team last season. Deal with it brah.

By effective do you mean goals per minute ratio? Because he didn't seem to form any effective partnership with another striker last year. He was awful with Matri, on a different wavelength to Vucinic. He seems to plough a lonely furrow, giving it his best of course.

In fact the only good partnership he has was with the grandmaster, and that was probably his career peak period.

What partnership is he likely to create when he plays once a month, with any striker? In fact, I'm of the opinion, he'd make a great partnership with Tevez. But he's not going to get the opportunity,

And yes, you could say a striker is pretty effective, if despite a lack of understanding with other strikers as by your own measure, he managed to score goals, crucially and consistently - each time he got a chance to play. The man is talented. And whether anyone on here admits or not, could've done even more if given a bit more continuity under Conte.

To be fair he did train with most of the strikers in our squad for over a year. However, you're right. What does an effective partnership count for if he is scoring goals anyway?

He didn't score that many goals, let's be honest. It's also a chicken and egg scenario, did he not gel because he didn't play, or did he not play because he didn't gel? From what I saw on the field he was always working hard but very much on his own wavelength.

This might be coincidence in terms of selection, but probably not. He always looked better as a sub when searching for a clutch goal.

So now he is expected to 25 goals a season in 1500 minutes?

He did not score a lot because he did not play, he did not play because Conte doesnt trust him enough, Conte doesnt trust him enough because he sees Quag is mediocre at best, which is true. Why so hard? Sell him.

Didn't trust him enough to start him in several CL games including vs Bayern.
