This is kind of inexplicable. Given that he returned the same if not more, than a designated starter on the team. Giovinco plays for the Azzurri unfortunately, so the coach probably has some ideas in his head with regard to who plays and what profile of player he wants. Point being, the 20 pl goals may not be enough for Quag to jump ahead of those who have had some continuity in the setup under Prandelli. Balotelli, El Sha, Osvaldo, DiNatale, Gilardino, Insigne, Diamanti, Giovinco, Rossi and Cassano with an outside chance.
