Arguing about Giovinco with Suns is just as pointless as arguing about Quag with baggio.

And curiously enough, they're now going to head to head about these very subjects. I think we just witnessed the start of an infinite loop :touched:
Not at all Buck. Yes, I'm a Quag fan, but I'm also very objective about these things. My only point is, and I think you've been withness to it, is Suns continually berating the player based on nothing. I refuse to accept that Quag is useless and brings 'nothing' to the table. I'm sure somebody like yourself, who is not even a Quag fan would disagree with his assessment. I'm questioning his logic, and given him the example of Gio, a player he rates so highly. Bias for a player is one thing, but disregarding a player without anything to prove it, is pretty ignorant and lame.

Where did I say you made things up?

And the numbers are right in front of me and all I see is a player coming off a season with 15 goals and 11 assists while another player has been stinking it up for a while now. And even during his peak, he still never managed to score more than 13 goals. The stats you just posted are for 4 seasons in the ages between 21-25 for one player while the other player was in his best years 25-29.

If you can't see the difference between Giovinco and Quag then I can't really help you. But try watching both of them play and see with your own eyes who the more dominant player is. Only would you would there be a discussion about Quag being more useful than Giovinco in 2012.

And whatever this unnecessary discussion brought to the table, its still doesn't make 2012/2013 Quag any better or will take him back to his old form where he scored those amazing 13 goals. He won't get that time ahead of Vucinic, Giovinco, Matri and a potential new striker anyway.
You're sounding like a man in denial. And just for the record, I didn't bring up the earlier seasons from 08/09, you did. I merely brought to your attention, things you had obviously missed out on when constructing your argument.

And now, I'm finding Quags best years as his statistics? Yes, let's blame Fabio now for being older than Gio and having his 'best years' in the years that you chose to debate about.

I know now, that this is beyond reason. Please choose to hate on.

No, I do not think Quag is entirely useless. I don't think he's particularly useful either though, considering both his own qualities & those of the other players in the squad. He's decent at many things, but great at nothing.

And, not to sound like an asshole but from your posts I read about Quags, you really don't strike me as being any more objective about Quag than Suns is about Gio. I may very well be wrong though, but that's the impression I'm getting.

The fact that you even think he's decent at many things is probably enough for him to be handy in a season when we are competing on three fronts. And besides, Is it too much to ask of all the naysayers to judge him after this season?

No, you don't sound like an asshole at all. Its your opinion. Fair enough. What's unfair is, people calling him a 4 goal a season striker, who should be used in the first possible deal we get. By all means, get rid of him if he doesn't serve a purpose, but at least give him a fair chance first. His first season, he was going to have a break through season before the injury, and the same injury held him back last season when Conte drafted him into the team much later and even then he hardly got any continuity. Even a better striker than him would've struggled in those circumstances.

All I ask is, this season he starts fit. Give him this season, and if he doesn't perform, by all means find an improvement and let him go. But until then, don't tell me he's useless and will not help us. Is it too much to ask? I don't think so.

Ps: Anyway, I'm on a flight to North India now, so I'll catch you lads next week. Ciao.

quags is a good squad player to keep but unfortunately we have nothing but squad talent in the forward department so one or matri or quags is going to leave and personally id like to keep quags but that only on personal choice. today he looks like he started the season like he ended it, correction the whole team did in front of net. whatever happens i dont think hes useless but we need better and hes not irreplaceable.
