And if he didn’t trust his sporting director’s judgment than why on earth would he have him in that position? Agnelli’s mistake is putting trust in Paratici as a sporting director. He was a great head of scouting working in unison with Beppe but clearly has a pretty little idea of what this club stands for, beyond that, with the comments he’s been making since his promotion.

I guess we'll just have to disagree. When I think of how other Italian clubs with local owners are run (Di Laurentiis with Napoli, Lotito with Lazio, Ferrero with Samp, Moratti with Inter, basically every locally owned club), I have no doubts that these guys take the decisions of hiring/firing coaches, not their sporting directors, there are countless interviews that suggest that they do. It could be that Agnelli is passive like some of the foreign owners, but for me it doesn't seem that way from his interviews.

Can you post the quote where Paratici said that hiring Sarri was his choice? Don't think I've read that.

Can you post the quote where Agnelli says that hiring Sarri was his choice?

I’ve at least posted quotes of Paratici saying how they felt Sarri was, how he was our first choices from the beginning, the ideal Juventus coach.

Literally no one is saying Agnelli had nothing to do with the process, it’s only you, Badass, and Juventinoo trying absolve Paratici of any shared responsibility for the decision, when from his own words Sarri was clearly his choice, his view of the “ideal Juventus coach.” It’s clearly a collaborative thing and Paratici plays a large part in it.

Let’s help you guys out because the removal of Allegri was a collective decision clearly instigated by Paratici and Nedved but Agnelli of course is the one that has to authorise the decision. He was clearly torn am influenced with the removal of Allegri. This quote below direct from Agnelli is pretty telling:

"We must be able to make the right decision and make them in the right moment. Only the future will tell us if these decisions are the right ones. I do want to hear strong opinions, and once those opinions have been made to me, I have a decision to make."

For sure it's a collaborative thing, but the decision maker there is Agnelli's, therefore the responsibility is his. Paratici's responsibility is for the advice he has given behind closed doors, but we as fans can only guess what that advice was, I've heard theories that Agnelli vetoed Conte and that's why we ended up with Sarri, they are as [completely not] credible as any theory. It's also entirely possible that Tici pushed for first Sarri, then Pirlo and know will face the sack, I've no idea.

Mike-e-y provided a good quote, I suggest you read it, that's about everything we know about the process, pointless to blame (or absolve) Tici for Sarri or Pirlo if we hardly know what went down. What we can do is blame Agnelli at this point, because regardless of what Tici and Nedved advocated for, he had the final say and he hired those guys anyway.

So basically Agnelli should get credit and blame for everything at the club. Every transfer is on Agnelli as he is the one who approves checks...

It's fucking ridiculous how far members are here ready to go just to avoid criticizing Tici. No one here solely blames Tici, but the insane amount of fanboyism is definitely turning people against him
