and there is something called brain/intelligence.

sadly, people with less brain often confuse emotional outbursts/actions with keeping the honour. we don't wont to argue about people burning family members because of the honour of the family, do we ?

ah yeah,
and where did he exactly fuck us off ?

if you got a job i would like you to accept a lower monthly payment, because your company is not doing well, while being offered a contract with more money in another company. do this and then come again and tell us something about fucking off

but surely one without a job and without a family to care for can not think of such things before spitting around all this honour-shit.

you might want to extend that to those who wanted to leave and were forced to stay (trez, camo ... and so on)
The majority of fans have expressed outrage at this signing. He is a traitor because he said he would stay if we went to serie B and he never kept his word and he fucked off. That's why lots of our fans can't forgive him, he took the fans for a ride. Fans are not stupid.

No one doubts that he got a nudge from our managers since they would have had trouble paying him...that is also due to his unwillingness to take the pay cut that DP, Gigi and the rest took. It was a business decision on his behalf and behalf of our managers because none are real Juventini...so why bring him back?

What the players do in front of cameras may not seem all that bitter but I doubt Camo and Trez will really appreciate this asshole coming back and earning as much as them after avoiding B and spending all these years in the CL.

What is your basis for saying this?

And he won't be earning anything close to what Camoranesi and Trezeguet are getting.

Dude that doesn't mean anything when it comes to Turin only ;)

You don't think Buffon, ADP, or Nedved wanted to play in the Champions League instead of Serie B? The reason why the tifosi love these players and don't want Cannavaro to come back is because they stayed with Juve in its darkest day.

Buffon could've played anywhere he wanted. Nedved was already entering the final years of his career. They stayed. Cannavaro bolted to Spain.

One season at his age? I say fuck it. Develop Ariaudo or buy someone a bit more long term.

I'm too late for this :D

Do you spend a lot of time in Torino gauging the mood of the fans?

I'm not interested in discussing the rights and wrongs of the Cannavaro deal. He has been signed, so I wish him all the best.

Rightly or Wrongly he is back at Juventus. Hopefully the 12 months he gives us are the best 12 months of his career.

I wish him good luck as he has always been one of my favorite players.
 Cannavaro had his reasons to leave unlike young player like Zlatan but i respect Zlatan because he still think that the scudetto that was on his inter shirt was juve scudetto and hes never shy to admit it and Cannavaro never stop defending Juve and surprisly Capello

so Cannavaro hater should keep their boos to Zambrotta who never stop talking shit about Juve. for me Zambrotta, thuram, zlatan(for moving to inter), vieira were the real traitors

That's fucking ridiculous. It's a bit business but not all business. Yes he did leave for money to real. So why did he have to talk shit about juventus while he was there. When we played Napoli he said that napoli will beat Juve and He was cheering for Napoli. He came to Juve cos napoli rejected him, still okay, last interview he said that he wanted to go to Napoli, what the fuck do you need him, he doesn't have even 1% Juve blood. he is in Juve cos he wants to play in South Africa 2010, for no other reason. Fuck Canna, maybe we will win all titles like barca did this year, but i will never support him... Traitor!!!!!!!!!

Didn't Cannavaro leave because the board had to sell him for funds?

As a long suffering Sky Blues STH it appears that everyone in my city supports one of the 'big four'.
How long suffering we talking here? :D

Remember we sold you Eoin Jess? He was my favourite player back then.

I also had the joys of watching Noel Whelan for Aberdeen a couple of seasons ago.

Longer back than Eoin Jess  He was ok, just lightweight. Actually we had a lot of flops come down from Scotland. I have been a regular since about 1991.

Luckily on my mothers side I have Calabrese-Toscanese family who are old school Juventini, which gives me an escape clause

Its funny what a couple of years does to some people, once hated throughout this forum, now all you see is mutual respect and love from some of the same guys...... terrific. It would be funny if someday maybe 5 years from now we ended up buying ibrahimovic and these people go on and justify the end means again. I say no more

I understand the bitterness, but I think that for a grand total of 2M Euro, or whatever it is, Cannavaro for a year will prove to be a sound move.

Yes I saw Barca and others skin him alive this season - I watched the 6-2 thrashing, and had a laugh with some of the guys about Cannavaro's performance. It was really, really bad. Of course, that game the entire Madrid team was pathetic - Cassilas was their best player, and he let in 6 goals!

My point is that I'm aware of all the reasons why people disagree with Canna arriving, and I think their position is, in fairness, an arguable one.

I'm also a fan of the Azzurri, so I've seen Canna play a ton of football. Fabio is an outstanding leader - period. Even if his play has dropped off considerably, he helps plug a hole. Frankly, with the exception of Chiello, at this point he's still better than our current central defenders.

Having him around should be hugely beneficial for young guys like Ariaudo, and hopefully Criscito. His experience, match preparation, and professional conduct will be a great example for our young D - they really will learn a ton training with him; whatever some people think, the guy is a legend of Italian football, and people who think he offers nothing are blinded by their hatred for this player.

It obviously sucks that he left, I was pissed off and hugely disappointed at the time, but for me, it has to be water under the bridge. None of us know the exact situation and exactly how his sale to Madrid developed, and I think that if our Champions are excited for his arrival, well that's enough for me. I'm really more concerned with winning, and he actually does make our team better. I know that some of you disagree with that.

Admittedly, my stance on him has also softened a little further since I re-watched his interview last week on a crap world cup DVD I have from 2006 (narrated by Pierce Brosnan); Cannavaro spoke of Juventus with reverence and passion - he was extremely respectful and proud of his time in Turin.

Sure I would have preferred that we buy a central defender with some experience, who would be a long term solution. But if we get Diego, Canna, D'Ago, Criscito, and a quality RB this mercato - and keep Trezeguet (as well as the 3 core youngsters), I'll basically be over the moon. That would represent a HUGE transfer season IMO - like a 8.5/10, or something to that effect . I think we could wait another year for a Central defender. Of course, if we could also get our hands on Zapata, or another promising young CB... 10/10.

Anyways, I think that the uncompromising Canna hate is counterproductive to the cause, so Forza Cannavaro, I hope he has a renaissance season and helps lead our team back to the top!
