I am not disagreeing with you there, but the sheer number of people who are in favor of his return is shocking, don't you think?

It's just an observation! I know where my affinity lies.

It's true that Pepe was Real's best defender this season. But it's also true that Ramos has had a shocker. An absolute shocker. One of Real's worst players this season if not the worst. You have proven that you don't follow Real that much if you think Ramos has had a better season than Canna. Really.
No, all thats been proven is that you're biased to Cannavaro. Now tell me, after the winter break which games did Ramos play bad in? He's been rather solid ever since returning for the second half of the season.

I still think bringing Cannavaro back is a solid move. I think returning to Italy and Turin in particular could lead to a spark in his form. He's not a long term solution, but I think he'll play well with an eye on South Africa.

Perhaps you are right, and for Juve's sake I do hope so, but I still have serious doubts about his ability to perform at the highest level.

I am resigned to accepting our fate though, and now that we have signed him can only hope he delivers.

If he's brought as the only solution for defense, I'm against it.
Same here. He is definitely not the sole answer to out defensive problems but a good way to help out. He is willing to do his best on winning back the Fans' trust so I think he will perform good (a man is at his best when he is desperate to achieve something)

He is a good addition to the team, 'betrayal' aside. (we need to forget about the past and think about the future anyway) But only because he is on a free transfer though. No way should he hinder the team's search for more talent, even for another CB. And if the board thinks that we don't need anyone else at the back line just because we got Canna... they'd prove again that they get dumber by the day :rolleyes2

People keep saying that bringing Cannavaro back to Italy will automatically make him great again. The curious side of me wonders if there are any statistics to see how players returning from abroad perform upon returning to Italy?

It's finals for me so I can't go on a grand research, if anyone else would consider carrying the torch I'm sure many who are curious would appreciate.
