I still think bringing Cannavaro back is a solid move. I think returning to Italy and Turin in particular could lead to a spark in his form. He's not a long term solution, but I think he'll play well with an eye on South Africa.

Same here. He is definitely not the sole answer to out defensive problems but a good way to help out. He is willing to do his best on winning back the Fans' trust so I think he will perform good (a man is at his best when he is desperate to achieve something)

He is a good addition to the team, 'betrayal' aside. (we need to forget about the past and think about the future anyway) But only because he is on a free transfer though. No way should he hinder the team's search for more talent, even for another CB. And if the board thinks that we don't need anyone else at the back line just because we got Canna... they'd prove again that they get dumber by the day :rolleyes2

People keep saying that bringing Cannavaro back to Italy will automatically make him great again. The curious side of me wonders if there are any statistics to see how players returning from abroad perform upon returning to Italy?
