Are you guys forgetting how awful cannavaro was against Juve and Roma ?

The guys past it and a traitor, not to mention 35. It makes no sense to sign him. Theres no such thing as a free player, because you'll be still paying him wages.
Besides lego wasnt that bad, we just need a new right back and sissoko fit. I would rather have new spark in midfield. Obviously were not going to use giovinco so lets not kid ourselves here. And are we trying to be the new Milan here or something with these ancient players ? Is del piero going to remain as our main threat until he's 40 ?
For some, being free, no matter what, you're 40, 12 it is still a good idea to sign the player.

Watch the ones insulting, criticizing, blaming Secco for everything he does, watch them re-doing it next year when we start conceding goals... (they'll be the same ones that voted for yes for the return of Fabbio)

We have a pro-verb that says "You don't screw, neither you get screwed, nor you move from fuckers way"..... meaning, you don't know they want. This is the same case here.

So we are doomed if we sign Cannavaro?

Of course we are, because it'll prove that were relying on has been pensioners again. Italian football was at best when we used to give the young ones a go. The 23 year old Nesta's at Lazio the 24 year old Thuram's at parma.

Under cappello we were hideous in the champions league, because we couldn't handle pace, and how could you expect any pace when you have 35 year olds in defence

I give credit when its due, sissoko was an awesome signing. But when you get oaf signings such Tiago, poulson etc do you seriously expect the fans to come quietly ?

Listen, i also don't like the idea of bringing Cannavaro to Juve but you two are exaggerating his influence in tonight's defeat. Real were owned left, right and center all over the pitch. Even superman wouldn't have stopped Barcelona from scoring a lot. Real's problems started in midfield where Diarra and especially Gago lost everything. They were owned on the flanks and Metzelder/Canna were left on many occasions alone against 3 or 4 technically superb Barca players.

I can't prove it for sure, but i'm convinced that even if the great Baresi played instead of Cannavaro tonight, Real would have conceded at least 4. For the last two goals Real played with 3 defenders. Before that Ramos was 100% guilty when he miss timed the offside trap for Henry's second goal, Puyol scored after a foul by Canna, but the whole Real team was guilty for letting Puyol free to shoot. Ramos was guilty for the other goal scored by Henry, as for Messi's goal, Diarra gifted Barca the ball in a very dangerous position.

The whole Real team was awful. The humiliation was invetable.

Real have underestimate their needs in the defense for years!
We are now on the same path with them.
I think the difference was made in the defense, it was an open game, both teams have excellent offensive tools, but Real's defense is far superior, Canna was one of the reasons...

Alen, I saw the game, the entire Madrid team was awful. But to say that any other defender in the world wouldn't do better than Cannavaro is simply not right. In his own duties, he failed miserably. I'm talking about one on one's and winning balls. Even his supposed "organizational skills" (come on, we all know that's a horsecock excuse to get the player), he failed.

So tell me, what did Cannavaro show tonight that tells us we should sign him?

It's not like this is just a one-off occurrence. He's been like this all season for at least the past two years.

Exactly. It's not like the Barcelona game is the only example we are giving. He hasn't even been good with his NT recently.

I'm yet to see ONE, only one good reason of why we should sign Cannavaro.

Other than the hilarious reasons of he's free and he's got over 120+ caps with his NT. New ones.

What crap?

Actually, nevermind. Just call me a Barca fan and be done with it.
I thought we agreed long time ago that I won't call you a Barca fan. I don't give a fuck if you do a m_elayyan, I don't visit the Spanish league thread just to avoid Juve fans creaming their pants when watching Barcelona.

And the crap I talked about is the constant bashing of whatever the board or Ranieri does, but you knew that already.

He's just past it. We should be securing other players before this guy.

But to say that any other defender in the world wouldn't do better than Cannavaro is simply not right.
I didn't say that for sure, because that isn't true at first place. What i said is that no matter who played instead of Cannavaro, Barca were still going to win comfortably, and score a lot. I also said that Real probably wouldn't have conceded 6, but 4 or 5 were almost sure.
One great defender alone couldn't have made a difference.
Cannavaro, obviously, is far from a great defender today, and he's not better than the other defenders in Real.
My main point was that you can't blame a single guy from Real for tonights defeat. You two were kinda implying that it was Cannavaro's fault.

So tell me, what did Cannavaro show tonight that tells us we should sign him?
Nothing at all.

But this is nonsense. There are threads about Diego and Cassano, but do you see me bashing the board for those transfer rumors? No. Those transfers are fine with me.

Again, this is nothing but bashing the opinions of those who don't agree with the "acceptable" view of the forum, which is quite humorous because you always go on about how you hate those who bash the board.

Same thing, really.
