You know that saying means in recent terms. I suppose you could compare him against some of the crap he plays with (Metzelder, Heinze - two players linked to Juve before) and say it isn't hard to look good alongside them, but really Real Madrid are a very poor defensive side because of their whole approach.
But again, I take their system into account. All that one needs to do is look at the one vs. one battles and how he lines up to the opposition.

You may not have said it directly like that but anything less than that won't satisfy you. Oh and in addition to that we should change the board along with the coach.
:lol2:

Of course I'd like to change the board, but the rest of what this guy says is pure bull crap.

Don't believe this liar.

Grow the fuck up, jack.

Attacking midfielder, Right-back, good CB and I'd be satisfied.
And do you think that would be enough for us to challenge for anything? I personally don't think so, we'll still be miles behind Inter in the league and light years behind the English teams when it comes to the Champions League.

A competent right back would do wonders for Juve, you guys may not win the treb, but you would do much better.

I'd sign Cannavaro as a back-up or to add depth before I signed him as a one season cure all.
We already have Chiellini, Legrottaglie and Mellberg rotating. We also have Knezevic which is on loan and would be leaving and lastly Ariaudo which is coming from the Primavera. You can't just sell three players and buy one world class player, things are not that easy.

Yeah, the same from me. But i doubt we'll have enough money to buy a +20/25m eur attacking midfielder and a good CB (15-20m).

The CBs cost a lot lately. Even bloody Gabriel Milito couldn't have been bought for less than 20.5m eur.
I don't know if there are good options for CB who don't cost more than 15m eur, because if there aren't, i doubt our guys have 40m eur only for the transfer fees of 2 players (and then add a RB and you get a higher number).

Perhaps some older CBs, around 30yo, like Marquez or Gallas won't cost much, but it's not very likely that they'd like to leave Barcelona and Arsenal, where they're getting good wages, unless we offer them much more. I don't know if we have money to offer them more than what Barca or Arsenal are paying.

What do you think would be good and at the same time realistic mercato?
1) sell tiago for 5 million
2) poulson for 4 million (No I dont want to give him another chance)
3) trezeguet for 12 million

thats 20 million

sign

1) diego 25 million

2) Sign zapata 8 million

3) 10 million + iaquinta for cassano

that way we would have only spent 23 million

Heck we spent that much alone on amauri

Depends on who we sign. Three top players could seriously make a difference in this team, as long as they stay injury free.

Yeah, but at the same time you don't buy a 40 year old player who seems to be going toward the sour part of his career and expect him to be an every game starter. I'm not saying go buy Zapata, but expecting Cannavaro to make any big difference is a bit nutty.

Hmm I think Gallas could be purchased for a decent sum. But yeah everybody is expensive now, thanks to the folks in England who aren't English.
