it amazes me how much of you all still hate canna for leaving when you got sent to hell. Canna is the miss link in our defence we need him to be a start to command and lead the back someone we dont have.

    Chiellini hopes for Canna reunion

Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini would welcome Fabio Cannavaro back to Turin with open arms.

Cannavaro's agent is in talks with Juve over the possibility of a return, but there have been rumblings of discontent from the Bianconeri faithful.

The Azzurri skipper left Juve after the Calciopoli crisis when he signed for Real Madrid, but Chiellini has forgiven him.

I have read about it in the newspapers and I don't know much more than that, but it would be an honour to play alongside Fabio again,” Chiellini said to the Corriere dello Sport.

“It would be a great signing for Juventus. We cannot forget that Cannavaro is a Ballon d'Or winner and the captain of the Italian national side.

“You can talk about his decision to leave the club when we were demoted to Serie B, but you cannot question his value as a player and as a man. We can all learn something from him.

Chiellini finished the interview by supporting a possible move for Sampdoria star Antonio Cassano.

He has done well for the Azzurri and I am sure that he would behave himself at Juve,” he said.

I can assure you that he would have no problem settling in at Juventus.

The best thing i see in this transfer is not abt the experience dat Canna can pass to our defenders but the coordination between him Chiellini and Buffon. They can surely build a nice fort back there

If we sell tiago and almiron+some cash and sign with zapata,we do not have to worry about the defence line at least 5years!!!
I don't want another Andrade.I don't think it would just like that but it's a risky deal and plus it would cost us ~9mln euros + loans.

If we sign Cannavaro the ideal addition to our deffence should be Ivanovic and Criscito, two young prospect with ability to play CB/LB/RB. now that's a steel solid backline:

    Buffon
    Ivanovic Cannavaro Chiellini Criscito

Agree, particularly if Diego comes because it seems that means we will play with less width in midfield. In that situation we need two fullbacks who can get forward.

Motta/Zuniga on the right, Pasqual on the left?

And offers nearly NO offense on the wing....

    I am against this!
defence wins championships!!! & if we get diego we should be ok for creativity between him & gio. but we'll never get ivanovic now, his stock has risen above the capabilities of secco

& what u mean no offence....didn't see ivanovic vs liverpool? :p

Yeah, we would get creativity from the middle, but we would be easy to predict. We need a lets say De Ceglie and Zuniga or Rafinha on the other flanks.

The best 4-3-1-2 in the last years was played by Milan. They had absoluly perfect fullbacks for this system, but just like every other department of their team, they forgot to bring in players of the same quality.

If I want a defensive back 4, I stick Mellberg on the right.
