    Fabio: I'll convince Juve fans

Fabio Cannavaro is leaving Juventus negotiations to his agent but promises that if he rejoins the Old Lady he will win back the support of the fans.

Canna left Juve for Real Madrid in the summer of 2006 after the Calciopoli scandal rocked the Bianconeri.

But his agent Enrico Fedele is in talks to bring the veteran back to Turin, in spite of many dissenting voices in the peninsula.

I respect Real greatly, but it could be that my future doesn't lie here,” Cannavaro told Tuttosport.

However, I don't want to cause any problems at the Bernabeu at such a crucial point in the season.

“I know there has been contact with Juventus, but I am going to let my agent deal with that. I prefer not to meddle in negotiations.

“I have an agreement with Enrico that once everything is sorted he will call me and I will sign.

Everyone knows that I would happily return to Juve where I spent two great seasons and won Scudetti that nobody can take away from me
    .

But I don't live on the moon, I know that people expected me to stay at Real and I know what kind of reservations the fans may have over me.

“I have explained my decision to leave 1000 times and I am ready to do it again. I am not worried because I will talk to the supporters
    .”

    Double Swoop For Juventus
    Marca en Ingles

Legendary Italian club Juventus remain keen on signing Fabio Cannavaro and have pinpointed another possible target in their quest in signing defensive reinforcements.

Cannavaro's agent Enrico Fedele told Italian Radio Kiss Kiss that Real Madrid have received a fax from the Italian club asking permission to discuss terms with the Azzurri captain, and the negotiations remain ongoing. The former Juventus player's contract expires this Spring in Madrid but would likely have to take a pay cut to sign with the Turin giants.

Juventus are also reportedly interested in signing Madrid teammate Michel Salgado. Speculation persists that the Turin club have hijacked the plans of Al Rayyan to take Il Due to the Qatari League as their major signing. Alessio Secco, the Juventus transfer manager, is reportedly keen on finding defensive reinforcements for the central and right defensive slots, with Salgado fitting the bill as a stop-gap measure.

It was reported earlier in the week that Salgado would likely sign for Al Rayyan in a 10 million € deal, but with first team football possible for Il Due in Turin, the Qatari club will face stiff competition.

Salgado, 33, has over 250 appearances for Los Galacticos, but has found it difficult to crack the first team since the arrival of Sergio Ramos.
