Yes thats him.

Indeed he was horrible against us, even in the first leg he didnt do too well, and it was poor marking by him that led to Ade's wonder goal. Like Andy said above, after his lengthy injuries he hasnt been the same, but he used to be a very good defender two years ago. He's a talented centerback, i believe he will be back to his best if he avoids further injuries.

But i want to ask you again would you refuse to sign Cannavaro ONLY because he betrayed us, even if every single Juve player wants him in the team?

As I wrote, it's not only that, but it's an important factor, atleast for me. I had alot of respect for Cannavaro, but alot of it went with his transfer to Madrid.

Like I pointed out with my first post, there are benefits from this signing, but also losses. I believe he's far too old to even fit well as a backup player. Instead of wasting money for his wage, which I believe will be higher than our average defender, we should aim at some decent defenders to fill Legros gap. If we are going to compete seriously for the Serie A title and in Europe, we need all the gunpowder we can get.

If the matter was signing Cannavaro as a scout instead of a player, I would accept it, even if I disrespect him for the obvious reasons I stated.

But Spanish defenders are better than Portuguese defenders because they are closer to Italy and consequently French defenders come in second place because they are closest to Italy among the whole lot. The worst defenders in Europe are the Swedish, the Norwegian and the Finnish.

Outside the continent it is a known fact that the best defenders come from Tunisia and Libya for obvious geographical reasons.

And in actuality it makes all Italian defenders seem weaker because they can't hold their own defensively in La Liga.

When Cannavaro was actually a good player, he made some of the best tackles I have ever seen for a defender, tackles that were his own and nobody else's. He could certainly hold his own by himself even as the last man, both on the ground and in the air, which made him great.

But hey, if you guys want to insult your own favorite players, so be it. I certainly want nothing to do with him.

In one way, I don't want Cannavaro since he betrayed us at our hardest times. It would be a bad message to our players if we signed a player who clearly showed that he wasn't loyal to the club. I also believe it would be disrespectful for Del Piero, Trezeguet, Buffon, Camoranesi etc. because these played stuck with Juventus during Serie B time and signing Cannavaro would mean that their sacrifice didn't mean anything.

Difference between Trez, Camo and Canna you ask? That we kept the two former against their will because we couldnt find tempting enough bid as we did with Cannavaro. Plus, even if I didnt like how he behaved (not as disloyal, but as dishonest), we wanted to get rid of him in a way too because he was old, with a huge salary. Plus there were ample enough offer. With Canna there were little to no interest, serious ones, and Trez we wanted to keep against his will, and didnt get any big bids for. They wanted to leave just as much as Canna, the difference was we actually find satisfactory bid to sell him for, while even if we prolly wanted to keep the other two to not lose more, the main crux was we didnt get tempting enough offers for them.

Now, hows that for loyalty? Market values and demand for the players is what defines loyalty to you???

True. But Canna lost the plot, it has nothing to do with different systems. He'd be more comfortable in the Italian system because it offers him more protection and consequently doesn't make him look as bad as he really is. 5 years ago though, Canna could have went to the Liga and ate strikers for breakfast.
