Anybody who voted for, probably doesn't watch the Liga. It doesn't matter how good he was in the past, fact of the matter is, he's been shit for two years now, absolute shit. How anyone would want him is frankly beyond me.

I genuinly want to know how many of you watch Real, or seen them beside a CL game or el classico. Canna has been EMBARASSING most of his tenure there.

ya but la liga isn't so tactical as the italian and thats why he failed:shifty:
Yet so many other defenders make it. Puyol, Marquez and Pepe are all doing well in the Liga. No excuse whatsoever for Cannavaro, he's lost the plot, no two ways about it.

I watch Real now and again and Cannavaro has not been good.

Can someone explain why, as I believe it to be the case, Cannavaro has done better for Italy than Real?

Don't watch Italian NT matches to be frank, but wasn't Baros always good for his NT? It doesn't mean much imo.

Pepe has been disasterous at times. I think Canna has overall been better (especially given Pepe's enormous price tag). And I dont think Canna is as big a failure in Liga as some suggest. He has been no where near as amazing as he was here but he did win 2 league titles in a team which had not won in like 3 or 4 seasons.

Well he is much more familiar with the Italian system of defending and working as a team. Also the midfielders do alot more protecting of the defence for Italy than they do at Real Madrid. In Spain it seems the defenders depend more on their ability in 1 on 1 to stop attackers while in Italy and for the National team they work much more as a unit together with the defensive mids to close down attacks.

A Player like Pujol who grew up in the spainsh system is far more adept to this kind of defending. But Canna excels in the Italian system.

In one way, I don't want Cannavaro since he betrayed us at our hardest times. It would be a bad message to our players if we signed a player who clearly showed that he wasn't loyal to the club. I also believe it would be disrespectful for Del Piero, Trezeguet, Buffon, Camoranesi etc. because these played stuck with Juventus during Serie B time and signing Cannavaro would mean that their sacrifice didn't mean anything.

In the other hand, I believe Cannavaro would be a great signing if we made a 1 year contract with the following of a scouting contract for the future. He would have good influence on the younger players and could be tutoring them. We shouldn't forget that he will turn 36 next season and therefore we shouldn't expect anything more than a backup player from him. He clearly showed his age in Madrid.

Since I'm a Juventus fan who believe that respect and loyality are important, I voted no for him.

This is the most stupid reason EVER.
So what if Del Piero, Buffon and the others actually want Cannavaro to come and if they're the ones who tell the board to get Cannavaro back to Juve?

Osman's reason is logical and acceptable, yours isn't.

Why is it stupid? Never heard that different people have different opinions? I believe I proved my point with my post.

Pepe has been fairly consistent this season, i'm surprised you even compare Cannavaro to Pepe. Pepe has been Real's best defender by a country mile, even cleaning up after Canna's mistakes. I think Pepe doesn't get the credit he deserves because of his poor start with Real and because of his price tag, but for me he is a top class defender.

You say Puyol does well because he grew up in the Spanish system? Fair enough, but how about other defenders like Marquez, Pepe and even Gonzalo?

Yes Cannavaro would do better in a more tactical system where midfielders offer defenders more protection. No it doesn't excuse his poor performances for Real, because if he was still good enough, he'd be able to hold his own.

Ok, i'm sorry.
But i want to ask you again would you refuse to sign Cannavaro ONLY because he betrayed us, even if every single Juve player wants him in the team?

So basically, Italian defenders are weaker than Spanish defenders because they have to rely on others to get the job done.

Nice one.
