who says we can't bring someone (Kjaer or any other young CB) beside Cannavaro?

I am for Cannavaro, he is better than Legro and Chiellini, and he is the most experienced defender that haven't lost it completely...

btw, do you think Kjaer could play as a fullback?
I don't really think we'll buy two of them.

Not because we don't have money to buy some other too but because we have to fill other postions where we're pretty weak.

Molinaro & Grygera/Zebina aren't good enough so we'll probably go after some right back while we're going to return Criscito.

No one knows the system that we're going to use next season but it could easily not be 4-4-2.If that the case then it will be Diego or someone who'll come so that will cost us 25-30mln euros and also 4mln+ for wages (without taxes).Marchisio-Sissoko and someone should make the middle if we're playing with 3 players but I doubt we're going to reley on Tiago and I don't know if that'll be Poulsen.By saying that we could sign someone on that position (I already mentioned Hamsik and Asamoah).Selling someone (Iaquinta) should help us do that but there's just too much to cover for just one summer and it's going to be hard.

So if we buy some right back (Zuniga?),Diego and Hamsik/Asamoah it will be hard to buy one more defender.I'm not even counting some youth players that we're going to sign.If there's some money left we can buy someone but we should sell Legro that way and probably loan out Ariaudo.

Cannavaro would be a short term solution *(one year) who would help out our defense and that's important. No one said we shouldn't buy Kjaer or someone, but I, for one, just think that we won't do it that way.

    Zuniga-Chiellini-Cannavaro-Criscito
    Grygera-Mellberg-Ariaudo-De Ceglie

it wouldn't be that bad but our midfield would be much more stronger than right now with let's say Asamoah & Diego.

So if we have money to buy someone else I'd be happy. But it will be hard.

To those who oppose Canna returning: This would be one of the best possible moves because he would be free, 1 year contract and will teach our defense what organization means. Chiellini needs to learn this aspect and who better to teach him than Canna. I love Chiellini and all but sometimes he is just not in the right place at the right time, Canna is that opposite and what we need to read the game. Chiellini is going to learn a lot from him, not to mention our LBs and whatever RBs we hopefully bring in.

Its no wonder why Buffon is thankful because he sees his defense unfold time and again in front of his eyes. He knows Canna will be a massive boost in terms of intelligence at the back line. Legro and Mellberg just do not have the skill to do with a defense that Canna is able to do. Lets face it, getting a younger CB is also risky and just throwing them in the middle with Chiellini whom still has a lot to learn, that to me is far too risky. Besides, with Canna free I am sure we can still get a young hot talent for CB.
