Now if we can get a few fullbacks and Diego .. we are a championship squad.
indeed with diego-cannavaro-criscito and a new RB it would be fantastic...
and new RB means that there is no space for either grygera or zebina and that mellberg and salihamidzic wont play RB again.
but then again...with criscito and molinaro as options for LB what will happen with DC?maybe ranieri should use him as back up to gio in the mid.

Why lot of forum members overrate Kjaer so much, i still don't think that Kjaer will become an upgrade than Legro or Mellberg now, the positive way that he is still young but i would prefer Ariaudo instead of him for now
I'm pretty sure that Kjaer will become one of the best defenders in Europe in a couple of years.Ariaudo is good and they are both 19 but I think Kjaer is a way ahead of him right now.

One of my favorite defenders right now.

I think this is excellent news! Canna would be relatively cheap and he's still miles ahead of Milan's old players. And I don't hold as big a grudge against him as against Zambrotta for example. Let's face it, Canna was a hot commodity after the WC so him moving to Real was pretty understandable. I would welcome him back with open arms.

I am fine with a Cannavro return only because he is free and he will sign to a one year contract. Cannavaro is far past his best but for free he's one hell of a bargain and this will free up sum transfer cash for a new RB hopefully?

Funny thing is, if he would sign for Milan, most here would say something like haha cannacunt is joining the retirement home, now when he would sign for us, we say, good, he can teach others.

    Nice logic.
Damn those Juve fans who make fun of Milan :melayyanandmessi:

So you prefer Mellber/Legro with Chiellini? Canna is free, one year contract with the option of renewal. Our board is going to take him: he is free (which I think is the most important fact for them)
Look, you may say im taking this very personaly and you will be right. Cannavaro was my favourite player, whenever i was playing football with my friends i was pretending to be Cannavaro. All my high-school books were written out with his name and i had his jersey (and not DP's or Trezeguet's). So, when he left i was so dissapointed in him that i started to hate him from the bottom of my heart. So you see im against his coming so there is nothing wrong with that, everyone has its own oppinion and you cant try and change it to everyone who think differently from you. No offence im just sayin bro..

No i dont prefer Legro/Melberg with Chiellini i just want Juve to buy a different deffender and not Canavaro. Thats it.

i don`t think any of juve players have anything against cannavaro, as the main stars play together with him in national team. altough he will probably be a starter and he is not so consistent as he was in 2004/05, this actually is a good move from board with little risk. so its chiellini-cannavaro with legro and mellberg as back ups? decent enough for me if you ask.

    :agree:

We should use the 500m euro more smartly.
Vidic, Messi, Kaka, Maicon and Drogba for me.
I think that with theese players our formation would be to offensive and Kaka would stop Giovinco's progress.

Having Canna in our starting 11 next season would take us a step closer to being title contenders. There is no doubt we would be better with Chiellini-Cannavaro then we would be with Chiellini and Leggro/Mellberg.

Canna may be 36 but he is in good shape and is a starter for Real Madrid as well as the national team. I dont see the problem in playing him in our back line if he can perform no matter what his age. players like Giggs and Scholes start for Man Utd and improve their team.

As for the fact Cannavaro left us. It is not like he was here for as long as Del Piero and Trezeguet to start with and Juve oculd not afford to keep all the stars anyway. At least he went to Madrid and not Inter or Milan.

Now if we can get a few fullbacks and Diego .. we are a championship squad.

    :flag:
Having Canna as a starter next season would be step forward but also season after that huge step back when he retires. And you can't compare him with players like Giggs and Scholes because Man Utd found their replacements few seasons ago (Anderson, Park, Nani) while if we sign only Canna as a dc who's gonna learn from him Mellber, Legro?? ( I won't say Ariaudo cuz we don't know his real potential and will he stay next season with us).

I'm for Canna deal only if we are going to sign him as a Knezevic/Andrade substitution, or as solution till we find money to buy his succesor. If and I say only IF our board sign him as our only solution for defense problem I'm tottaly aginst it.

Oh, I love Canna too, but don't take my post if like I had something against you. Actually, I'm just taking facts how our board negotiate lately (and their "skills" to negotiate).

Cannavaro would be a great buy
We have one good defender in a 4 men defence our midfield needs strengthening as for our attack it would be nice to get someone altough not a must

we need a new RB a new LB and a CB as for our mid we need a new LM or we decide to put Giovinco there and a CM to partner Sissoko
thats a lot of cash if you add all of this up (and don`t forget our management would probably buy an attacker too) which mean a free player who is also great would be awesome as we really need a leader like Canna reviving our defence and would save us lots of $$$ only a fool would say no to Canna right now at our position

And you're probably right, Joaco. The thing that bothers me is that this is only a band-aid to a huge problem. Come next year around this same time they'll be scrambling for centre-backs and end up jumping the gun and signing some OR table regular.

    FUCK cannavaro

this guy is the definition of the ultimate merc. i don't care if he's a god of italian football. the guy has no loyalty and no regard for honor. he really is on my list of most hated players -- and no, i didn't love him when he played for us so don't bother asking me that

who says we can't bring someone (Kjaer or any other young CB) beside Cannavaro?

I am for Cannavaro, he is better than Legro and Chiellini, and he is the most experienced defender that haven't lost it completely...

btw, do you think Kjaer could play as a fullback?
