Romania also has many different versions depending on regions, most do have similarities though, here are some examples:

IMG_3677.jpeg IMG_3679.jpeg IMG_3680.jpeg IMG_3678.jpeg

It’s mostly a long lost trend here tbh, rarely in use this days outside of themed festivals, whereas other traditions that we might have in common is on certain craftsmanships and even cuisine, because we have a long history with the Ottomans too we obviously adapted not only some customs but also parts from the turkish/middle eastern cuisine that have been converted to local traditional varieties here.
Thank you bro, locals are heavily influenced by modern society and adopting trendy life quickly, specifically in Europe. Some traditions are disappearing and being absorbed into new life era but still few of them preserve their culture. those tradition dresses are very distinct and really impressed me, the needlework on them are somewhat similar to our needlework with a slight difference.

Thanks for sharing, man!

Scottish traditional (or what's considered traditional nowadays*) clothing and textile patterns are pretty well known globally. Schools all across the world have a tartan as part of their school uniform lol

*It's sort of hard to tell what's really historical because during the romantic era there was a fad of looking back to a bygone era before industrialisation and basically making stuff up about it. The thing about true Scotsmen not wearing underwear under kilts comes from that time for example. Today we wear kilts at weddings with nice jackets, but proper Scottish cunts 1000 years ago probably wore what was purely functional.

Nowadays very few Scottish people dress like this every day. Though a kilt is fucking comfortable and really warm in winter.

@U Picciriddu @s4tch @Alin @Scottish @Valerio.

I'd like to take a moment of your time to talk about Culture. I've wanted to talk about it long time ago but didn't find a right thread, I'm from an ethnic minority in Iran. We're Baloch and mostly live in south and Southeast of Iran. Balochs are scatred among Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, Oman and Turkmenistan. We’re a tribal people and have our own language and style of dress. Not to mention we have some linguistic similarities with Kurds and Persians and even have a lot of common in Culture and customs.
The purpose of posting this is I was looking for something like cultural similarities and clothes with people and ethnic groups in Europe. As i pointed we have tradition dresses, Handicrafts, Rug, Carpet and Needlework. I'd truly appreciate if you replay me based on your observation about Ethnicities and Races in Europe that is similar to my culture.

Thanks for this. Great post! I definitely see a number of similarities across Eastern Europe, through the Caucasus, and even touching on the Mughal empire heading east.

I don't know if i got it right, i think you have a type of embroidery, portuguese embroidery which is interesting to me. We have very popular needlework in our region and it's used for decorates on dresses.
Image below is the image of portuguese embroidery.

I see almost similarities that are widely used in our region.

Only the dumb ones.

You are one iirc.
Don't get me wrong, I really have no idea about it. Here in Iran Persians and other Iranian call themselves Aryans. Also Afghans claiming that they are Aryans although they are nothing a like persians and share the least common things and totally different people and so are Tajiks.
we are taught in the school that the term of "Iranic People" meaning people who have same root and same ancestors like persians, tajiks and Germans!!!

If you enjoy reading history, I recommend that you read The Perisan empire by Amelie Kuhrt.

Imma summon @Ronn

I feel like Ronn knows.
Modern Iranians know themselves as decedents of the Aryan race. It was thought in History books while I was in elementary school. I don’t think there’s enough research to prove or discredit the idea, but there are some like this that believe it’s bs.
I remember there was also a generic study a few years ago that concluded modern Iranians have more in common with people who lived there before Aryan migration. But I can’t find it now.
My opinion: it’s likely bs and it’s irrelevant anyway.

Hmmm so he is an Iranian? Interesting.
