Thats your opinion. I've always rated him and he'd absolutely walk into this Juventus team. No questions
No really, he was already declining a lot last season and you could tell this from the way he was messing up at Barça. Still had good technique, but the defensive flaws were very obvious.

@YasoR17, no you're not.

Am I the only one who is sick of these type of comments?
Of course not. We have left the best and the most in form Italian player (Cassano) out, never going after him which basically means that we just can't go after "quality" regardless of the players' nationalities probably due to financial limitations and the folks can't still stop moaning about this Italian mentality theory of theirs :yuck:

We are even worse, than we thought! God damn, Lech is really not a great team. As a guy from Poland, I know them quite well. Our defense is just horrible. Chiellini is not the leader and I think he is not in form. Legro-Bonucci with Chiellini on the left. Maybe that helps.....

Del Neri: 'All the same problems'
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gigi Del Neri tells Juventus the 3-3 with Lech Poznan “must make us look at ourselves. The problems are always the same.” - (no shit)

The Bianconeri registered their second consecutive 3-3 result after an identical setback against Sampdoria at the weekend.

“This result must make us look at ourselves,” said the Coach after they fought back from 2-0 down only to concede a 92nd-minute equaliser.

“We get back from difficult circumstances, then we lose when we are meant to control the game. We tried too hard to get the third goal and became tired, so we should’ve lowered the tempo.

“A late goal can happen, especially as Lech scored a world class effort.

“The problems are always the same: lack of concentration and confidence in what we’re doing on the pitch. Today I didn’t see the quality of our opponents, but rather our own mistakes.

“In the Europa League when you make a mistake, you pay a heavy price. It’s strange, as our goalkeepers have had to make very few saves in these matches.

“We have to work on the team ethic and learn to be more clinical. We struggle to keep the tempo for 90 minutes and must work on our concentration.”

Even with two DMs and the supposdely world class destroyer Sissoko, we still gave up three goals to freaking Lech.

End the myth.
How bad can we really get? As the man pointed out above...TWO DMs and wingers who track back. Shambolic defending against, lets be honest, very very average opponents. Against top class teams we will get a good old fashioned battering.

No excuses can justify our ability to concede goals. Even prior to Calciopoli, our defence was resoutly shonky, even with Capello.

What happened to Grygera? You cannot be that bad and play for Ajax?!

PDC must be a winger as no such prodigious Italian defender has such a distaste for defending.

Good job the King is still about, otherwise we would look rather stupid today...oh wait...

Of course you could tell there were signs of the start of a decline, but he's been stuck behind Puyol, Milito and Pique for a while now, and he's not had a lot of consistency at club level, I think that could be part of the reason. I think on a free he was a no brainer though, highlighted by the rinaudo move...

Whilst i agree his at his decline, I would almost certainly put marquez wel ahead of rinaudo in the pecking order.

Last year this game would have ended 5-0 to Lech. This is a classic Del Neri team. Score a handful of goals & concede likewise. For those who continue to think we are a super team it's time to wake up. Enjoy this wild ride. Atleast we are entertaining.
exactly, this is Del Neri! Chievo, Sampdoria and etc. level coach and he makes us an average team which concedes 3 and scores 4, 3 or 2.

and such a shitty 30 players of same defensive kind without any single creative and 832213 years old Del Piero

Fuck!!!

If some of you had it your way we'd be hiring a new coach every other week. Ffs, this is our 4th coach in 4 years. We need to stick with someone to create stability in the team. The players have to get used to and get on track with a coaches mentality and the process takes time.
