Let’s be honest, the main reason why no one wants England to win is because of their fans and media. They will be unbearably arrogant.

The England team itself is fairly inoffensive. I am struggling to think of one player I actually dislike. I used to dislike Lingard but he’s not part of the team.

Does anyone here really hate anyone who plays for them? Even their manager, Southgate, is as tame as they get.

Sterling and Foden. Otherwise the team is fine. Its normal to dislike a few players from a team anyway.

So? Wanting a team to lose just because of its fans is a perfectly legitimate thing.

Isn't this why a lot of people hate Arsenal. Arsenal is a nobody club, why would anyone hate them?

At the beginning of the tournament I sort of wanted England to win, ya know, cause I'm living here and my gf is English and all that. And yeah, I don't think their team is that unlikeable.

However, they just really failed to captivate me as a team. The play and the chemistry just isn't there. Italy is just the opposite. They have the soul and team spirit that makes you want to root for them.

That's precisely what's happened. As the tournament went on, that long gone weak spot I had for Italy started growing again and now I'm an azzurri fanboy at least for this tournament.

Plus Chiello winning the Euro would be :tuttosport:

Never understood how people could easily switch teams. To me, you fall in love with one NT (if your own NT is weak as shit like mine of course :D) and stick with it forever, same as with clubs.

Well, I'm not switching teams.

My only team is Juventus.

But I never understood how people can be actual fans of foreign national teams (and my mine is really weak). But of course I'll have a preference for Italy because it features more Juventus and Serie A players.

In our country everyone has a favorite foreign NT (+ Turkey), and usually sticks with it :D

I used to really be a fan of Italy, but I''ve realised it had much to do with the fact I simply was a fan of their players.

Nowadays I have a lot of sympathy for them, knowing the language, knowing the culture and liking the way they approach football. But I wouldn't really consider myself a fan of their NT in the way that I will always support Juventus.

Of course it will never be on the same level as Juve fandom. In fact, if you overdo it with the Azzurri fandom people start assuming you are a wanna-be Italian or smth :D

It's inevitable, supporting Juve has made me more 'Italien' over time. By the way I'm i the only one here that wakes up with the italian anthem playing in my head?

Btw I imagine there will be a minority of England fans who will boo the Italian anthem thinking it will affect them, but all it will do is make them more determined, Italians love this idea of being underdog and going there to spoil the party. That kind of thing just adds ammo to this mindset.

Hopefully the ref is up for the task and dont give kane the snowflake fk every time he goes down. The whole euro refs Didnt give cheap fk, exept eng -dan , where eng got them fucking every time. Eng are dangerous on fk, and i think that may be the way for italy to lose this. Uefa has a dept to pay, so eng will probably get all the help in the world, like they already have in this tournament

I always support Italy because of Juve players (except on WC 2010, I supported Netherland because I knew Italy would suck lol). Also never in million years my country will make it to WC

But now I support them simply because their national anthem is just awesome and it feels emotional when they sing it especially when Buffon still there

This is always gonna be weird to me. I mean, a club is just a club, especially these days it’s all foreign players. A national team still represents a people, a country and a flag so I can’t wrap my head around that.

I can understand someone living in said country, embracing their culture, language and people but a guy on the other side of the world who doesn’t even understand the language going “that’s my national team” is just weird.
