If England scores first, they'll go into lockdown mode (Southgate took off Grealish, who came in as a sub, for Trippier after the Kane penalty). Chiesa will be key once again to break that defensive set up. If this goes into ET, Italy will be in a tough spot. The English are tuned to run all day.

True.

Seriously I'm just glad it's not Germany playing England in the final. As a Germanophile I wouldn't be able to handle another defeat to them in a final and also because of so many Bayern players playing for Germany it would've been even worse.

If I were a Juventus fan I would be close to nerve-racking facing England for these same reasons mentioned above.

Victory would be sweet like no other but defeat would be unbearable.
Precisely. This is gonna be anxious few days.

Yes. Whoever scores first will win IMO.

The worst thing isn't his finishing, he hasn't missed that many chances (although he has 17 shots with only 3 on target). It's the absolute lack of quality off the ball movement and link-up play, it always looks like this is his first time playing together with Insigne or Verratti.
Which is ironic as he played a season with them at Pescara.

Wingbacks and the lack of a proper CF. Wish we had Kean.
Too bad Zaniolo couldn’t make it either.
What’s more worrisome is our physical condition. We were huffing and puffing against a Spanish side whose previous 2 games had gone to extra time.
Spain passed Italy off the park. Like 800 passes to Italy’s 250 or whatever. Italy put in a hell of a shift to keep up with Spain’s insane amount of work their midfield and attack put into the game.

But the final is 5 days away for them. Plenty of time to recover and I expect them to have much more of the ball against England than they did against Spain. England look very susceptible on the counter attack and this might be the key to Italy getting joy from this game.

This game will be won in midfield imo.

Not only that. As long as the score is 0-0, they'll go into lockdown mode as well.

But it is nice to see that the 2 best teams of the tournament actually reach the final. Should be an exciting game.
Hopefully Italy wins it, but to me the English are the favourites here. A very, very solid side.

Italy needs Lazio Immobile to show up, not this braindead, unable to finish anything Azzurri Immobile. If Immobile has his shooting boots on, Italy wins this easy, if he doesn’t, it’s a toss-up
Immobile is an average player, Post Moronic. I thought you knew that. Belotti even worse.

The more I see that penalty, the angrier I get. It has been decades of whining about the spirit of the game. Maradona is still hated, Southern Europeans are always labeled cheats.

And then they do this. Incredible.

Not to mention the fact that they kept falling over in dangerous areas throughout the game.

what fugging dive by sterling! People who are saying there is nowhere else for his leg to go, please shut up.
His dribbling was amazing but when the defenders obstructed him without going for the ball, he should have teleported his legs to the other side of the defender and continued dribbling.

Anyway, Bonucci and Chiellini deals very well with quick footed dribblers.
Time and time again, we see them completely dominate players like neymar, messi, ronaldo in european finals and bring glory home.

Dont know about you guys but I just got a feeling England will win the final. Finally they got here and with the home advantage it’s gonna be difficult.

Hopefully I’ll be totally wrong.

They all go back to defend and pass around patiently seriously I've never seen any England team play like this. Denmark moved into England's have, as soon as that happened you saw both Kane and sterling run back to fill the numbers in midfield. On the ball they'll just keep passing till they get a chance, surprisingly they rarely misplaced passes, Italy suffered against a possession based team already.
But can you see this England hold possession against Italy? I can't. It's gonna be italy holding most of the possession, England pressed back waiting for a counter and Sterling to fall on his arse in the penalty area.
