It's going to be very interesting how Italy will play against Croatia, which they have never beaten and against Trapattoni's Ireland, who inflicted a surprise 2-0 defeat on the Italians last summer.

I think that Prandelli can manage to get Italy out of the group in second place but it really won't be easy, especially if Cassano is not part of the team.

I would give my left nut to see Ireland trump Spain for the second spot.

So if Italy make it through they will face either England or France.

I used to really dislike England, but now that we have both Jacky and Theo in the NT, its hard for me to dislike them. I wish Italy all the worst though, most disgusting NT ever without a doubt.

Italy are due to beat Croatia though and this could be the time to do it.
Yeah, Italy has a better team than Croatia and at least at this moment the Italians are much more hungry for success and proving each other, which makes them favorites.

I never thought I'd say this, but Croatia is too dependent on Ivica Olic of all people. Whenever he's playing, we're doing much better. He's back now and we easily eliminated the Turks, but with his serious injury from the near past, God knows if he'll be available for the EUROs.
Much will depend on Croatia's choice for the EUROs. We're a small country and we don't have a big choice of players to replace the starters. If we have all of Modric, Kranjcar, Olic, Srna, Rakitic and Eduardo at the euros, then we can make a surprise in the groups. If some of them are missing, then we'll be last in the group.

If Terry doesn't play then I might agree with you. Croatia are the most disgusting in this tournament, Modric apart.
