Montolivo has usually been playing where I placed Cassano. And if Cassano were fit I'd definitely want him there instead.

Montolivo has been inconsistent as well so I wouldn't say his spot on the starting 11 is set in stone.

Cassano has been thriving as a forward, and is the top scorer, he shouldn't be moved.

Not sure I'd agree Montolivo has been inconsistent, the midfield are on the same wavelength and have been playing nicely lately.

Well Cassano is in serious doubt for the Euro.

I expect, if Rossi is fit:

Buffon
Maggio - Barz - Chiellini - Criscito
De Rossi - Pirlo - Marchisio
Montolivo
Rossi - Balotelli

Prandelli: "If I won't have them at my availability, I won't change our system of play, so we will still have three midfielders and a trequartista."

De Rossi - Pirlo - Marchisio
Montolivo

i think italy will battle with croatia for the 2nd place...that is kinda hard, and i give them a 50-50 chance...i watched 2,3 games of italy in this year and i wasn't impressed
Id hate to see what you thought of them under Lippi from 08-10.

Italy have been one of the best teams in Europe (besides Germany and Spain) in the past year. Don't know what more Prandell can do to impress really, think he's doing extremely well with the resources he has.

I guess Holland will choke tbh. I already had thought about that before knowing the groups btw.

Germany will get the trophy.

Anyone who says Italy doesn't have a good chance of winning the tournament hasn't seen them play since Prandelli took over.

Germany, Spain and the Dutch are the only teams that have a chance of beating Italy in a knockout game. Italy is typically a bogey side for Germany and Spain as well. If Cassano and Rossi get fit for that tournament, nobody is gonna want to see Italy in an elimination match.

No group of debt

Portugal, Italy/Ireland, Greece and Spain would have been awesome (PIGS :D)

As the headlines said in the Portugal papers after they clinched a spot in the finals against Bosnia-Herzegovinayerself: "This is one Euro they can't kick us out of"
