Which Chelsea player intimidates you the most, guys?

I personally pray that Essien doesn't play. Terry-less Chelsea would be a God's gift as well. And Anelka over Drogba please. Others we can manage..
Deco is a danger as well. Hope he doesn't get to form by then.

just look at the way roma played them this year in the group stages. We have to play on the counter. Just like we did against real. We can take these english pricks.

Don't you think you give too much credit to Arsenal?
Roma are just as fast but they are tactically better than you and they have better and more talented players.
I actually think you give too much credit to Italian clubs and Serie A's players too.

Roma is 9th in their league, we are 5th in ours. Sure we're not the same team of last year, sure we have a lot of mediocre players, sure they have more talented players. But as a team we are better. and i believe we struggle most with defensive teams, and thrive very much against attacking teams, Roma being one of them. I think most neutrals would say its a 50\50.

Hi and how are you doing?

You can never discount the Jose Mourinho factor as he has an amazing record over Fergie but whether he can do that with this Inter side remains to be seen. It is amazing that both sides qualified by just winning 2 games each in what was a mediocre qualifying campaign and Inter's best player is absolute shite in Cl in Zlatan.
I'm doing well, thank you for asking, hope all is well with you :)

Of course the Mourinho factor will play a big role. But Inter's problem is that they are over dependant on Zlatan, like you said he is absolute shit in the CL, and he's shittier in the big games. I think Vidic and Rio are going to nullify his threat. By doing that you pretty much beat Inter imho.

As for Chelsea they have not really impressed against the big sides now have they? I have always manitained that there are question marks against Felipe Scolari and I have been proven right as its 1 thing to beating Sunderland 5-0 it is quite another to beat Juventus. Ranieri whether you like him or not is more technically atute than Capello in big matches and would prove once again in CL
I think Scolari is a very good manager, that just needs to get acquainted with his new surroundings. The fact they've had Drogba and Essien out all that time has really affected them imo. Their midfield with Essien would be complete, and Drogba playing upfront would add another dimension to their game. Chelsea in February are going to be a very different team imo.

I do not know if you agree but this is without doubt imo Wenger's worst Arsenal side as the only time I have been impressed with them this season was against Man United. Against Chelsea, I felt they were fortunate with the offisde goal as before then they seemed clueless.

I definitely agree. This Arsenal team has so much mediocre players its just not funny. I've said it many times, and i'll say it again. This team is not good enough to win anything. I agree about the Chelsea part too, they were completely dominating us before the ref gifted us an imaginary goal.We would never have beaten them in the bridge without that goal.

In saying that Roma have not been exactly fantastic and contrary to some of the things that I have read on here are more defensive than they have been for years as their performance away to Chelsea would testify but unfortunately for you they have Totti back and if he is fully fit in February then it would very difficult for Arsenal cos unlike Milan last season, this side is not ancient and slow.

The fact i'm giving us a 50-50 chance against Roma has more to do with Roma being predictable than us being a good team. I think that Roma like Inter are dependant on one player, that player being Totti.

Now i'm not saying we'd definitely win, but i believe its a 50-50

Besides Arsenal was a much greater team than they are now. Just look at your midfield, it is kind of embarassing as only Cesc is 1 to be reckoned with. Hleb and Flamini are huge losses. But Roma always give chances at the back and both keepers in my view are not top draw so we would see

Of course theres a big difference between this team and last years team. Lack of depth was the reason of our downfall last season. It didn't exactly help, having Denilson, Bentnder, Diaby, Song and Djorou coming off the bench, now those players are starting.

we can stop deco we can stop lampard but bosingwa will be our problem
Well Sissoko can single handedly take Lampard and Essien out of the game. That's a fact. Bosingwa could have a field day on your right, but if you guys handle Drogba up top you should be okay. I really think the deciding factor is where Deco plays. If it were me, I'd give Deco a free role on the right and tell him to stay away from that Giorgio feller.

Are you sure you're really aiming at Alen? :shifty:

This 9th team of Serie was 16th when they crushed the 1st team of EPL though :D

I have another question: Is it better for us if Chelsea does good (keep winning) in EPL or vice versa?

PS One thing is for sure, we're not missing a single Chelsea match until March :D

What was the score when they played Man U?

This is an interesting fixture because of the inconsistency of both teams. Arsenal look great at times and not so good others. Roma has played some of the most attractive, good football I've seen at times and at other times has caved like the Buffalo Bills in the Superbowl. It should be fun, I anticipate a one team ass whipping or a two way goalfest. I'm hoping for the latter.
