Statistically, they do. As long as they are still in the competition, they can win it. They might have odds of 10,000 to 1, but that is still greater than 0.

Greece, going by your logic, had zero chance of winning Euro 2004, and look what happened ;)

Hehe yeah it's incredible, really. Not too long ago italian teams were feared in Europe. Now, not so much. Milan looked pretty good last night though but still lost. Thought they deserved the win actually.

@Marty :weee: how you been man?

There's a lot of ignorance about italian football, really. Here people are trying to make ridiculous processes when the score yesterday was 2W, 1D, 1L, and in none of these matches an italian team was outplayed. Napoli went to Swansea, one of the most solid sides of EPL, who can give difficulties to everyone, and didn't concede and got out with a draw, being almost qualified. Juventus playing at their 10% with so many reserves outplayed Trabzonspor except for 15 mins, who's a ridiculous team, but that's what it is. Fiorentina wins 1-3 away, Lazio, a side in a difficult moment, who lost 3-1 to the last in the league at Catania, has some difficulties in a match at home and lost, but still would have deserved a draw and they're not to blame for the entire movement. Milan, who, let's remember, sits 10TH in the league and has massive difficulties this year, although having great players, plays a good match against Atletico Madrid, first in Spain, having the most chances.

The truth is that Serie A is stille most interesting league for quality and history after/alongside the Premier League. Look in the first 10 position of the table and you'll find out that every team has some great players, talent, history or something interesting to care for. The same can't be said for other leagues, f.e. Spain or Bundesliga, who may have better top teams and better "selling" of their product, better stadiums, but still the overall quality of their league sucks, as does everything that is outside of the pitch in Serie A.

Hate them for no reason !! Almost all of them were extremely happy when Juve were punished and relegated to Serie B, some of you must have a short memory.

Some 10-15 years ago I cared and supported them in Europe but I used to be young and perhaps naive back then. Now I don't give a fock about them wether in Europe or Italy.

I don't feel sorry for them really. If you target the best club in your own country and push hard for an undeserved punishment without 1 single clear evidence thinking only about your own club's interest, then your shooting yourself in the foot. And that's what the Italians did. Italians have only themselves to blame for the state that their clubs have reached and nobody else.

Personally to me I want Juve to be the Bayern Munich of Italian football. A team that dominate so much it's own league and still does well in Europe. And I don't buy the whole theory that your league have to be so strong for you to win European competitions. Real, Barca and Bayern Munich (add PSG recently) are all doing extremely well even though their leagues are somewhat far from reaching the premier league level.
Hatred is bad thing let them hate us as long as they want that is a sign of weakness. if not Juve then I wouldn't mind other Italian teams winning something from Europe.
