It's not that hard to stop players if you are willing to go with a very negative mindset and purely focus on defending.

The real test will come in the second game where Chelsea still have to stop Barca, but also have to carry some sort of goal threat themselves.

i just came home from a pub where i saw the match...i think that too...it's impossible for barca to not score in 2 matches..so a goal and a good possesion will send blaugrana in the final. Now i wish you team all the best fred, cuz i would be sooooo happy if manure won't reach teh final

Of course it is tough to stop Barca (impossible for most teams), but for a team like Chelsea, who have top class defenders, it isn't that hard to limit Barca's chances.

Keep in mind that Barca still made three or four clear chances.

I'll be very interested to see how the second leg goes if Chelsea open up a bit to try and get a goal.

Ballack should have recieved a second yellow though. I also expected Puyol to get a second yellow for a foul over Malouda, but for some reason (i didn't see what was the reason, so maybe it was justified) the ref gave a foul for Barcelona.
