I don't really agree with that, I really wanted him at Juve and injury free he would have done us much better than Poulsen. But then again we wouldn't have seen anything of Marchisio and I am happy that Marchisio got his chance to show his worth.

As for Poulsen, he's a totally different formula and I like the player for his character and his dynamism. I am happy he's with us.
Camo-Xabi-Sissoko-Giovinco did look attractive last summer. I was really hoping that we'll strenghten the defense, and if we did that, Xabi would have been the missing piece in the midfield. We obviously didn't have money even for Alonso, not to mention strenghtening the defense.

But as it turned out we had Marchionni on the right, old and through big part of the season terrible Nedved, and on many matches we didn't have Sissoko.
We create many chances anyway, we score a lot anyway. It's not the play that we're missing (although we can do much better). What we're missing is stronger defense.
I can not prove it, of course, but i'm sure that 2nd place, elimination from Chelsea and Coppa semifinal would have been our reality with or without Xabi.

Is it always like this in here after CL games?

The usual things like "I told you this players was good" "Screw you for not wanting this player over here" etc. Always we have an Einstein or two around here after each CL game played.
No, me and Andy have this talks about Xabi and Tiago before and after every game :D

More would have recquired an injury free Camo, at least one more good defender and Alonso. All instead of Poulsen.

I am certainly not "proud". We played til then end, but we do that anyway. We made far too many mistakes in the second half and blew the match right when we were primed to take it out of the Commies slimy fingers.
Considering your performance in the first leg and watching Gerrard in the stands, no one would even imagine such a display from Liverpool especially in the first half. If it wasn't for Reina's mistake on Drogba's goal I'm sure you would make it for the semis. Chelsea had been completely clueless before that goal.

Liverpool players gave everything on the pitch, fought for every ball, didn't give up until the end and never were like losers. I hope you'll win the EPL.

Game statistics:

Chelsea scored 4 goals from 6 shots on target.
Liverpool scored 4 goals from 7 shots on target.

That's goalkeeping at its finest.

Errrm no I would actually say we would have a better chance with Xabi in the team at the Bridge as he's more capable than even Zanetti at hitting long balls on the counter. Since we always hit long balls we might as well get one of the better players in the game to do it instead of Sissoko and Mellberg.

But there's no point in continuing with this. We won't ever agree anyway.

I don't understand why Benitez doesn't use Agger. What we need to do is pick him up immediately as he's top notch and would complement Chiellini nicely. He's good at distribution at the back as well.

is the pool-chelsea game good or what???
[EPL haters]The most boring football encounter ever![/EPL haters]
I would just like to say that I heartily applaud pool and chelski for this cacophony of goals. I'm glad they finally decided to heed the advice and end the goalless draws, that stuff was pure torture.

I know this sounds like Serie A sour grapes when I say that this Chelsea-Liverpool match was kind of a joke, really. But it was. To Martin's point, the 0-0 draws are snorefests. But I am not sure a comedy of errors is the solution.

The goalkeeping and set piece defense in this tie was absolutely pitiful. The only upside for the draw was that the offenses of either side punished the other side severely for the terrible defensive errors they made. And there were plenty of defensive errors to go around.

Not that I want my matches all 0-0 and 1-0, but it's possible to get a decent scoreline without it being entirely based on comical miscues. This was really a sad display of a match. Rather than feeling like we found a winner out of great skill, we found a winner our of the least pitiful of mistake-makers. Good for comedy (just count the number of LOL smilies in the past few pages), bad for skillful football.
