Reina Robbed While Saving Penalties

As Pepe Reina was at Anfield saving two penalty kicks to send his side into the final of the Champions League his home in nearby Woolton was being ransacked by robbers.

The 24-year-old Spaniard returned home in the early hours of this morning to discover that there had been a robbery, which is said to have included a number of high value items. Included is said to be his Porsche Cayenne.

Poor Reina!
He did well saving those penalties. He did better than Peter Cech. What really annoyed me though, was those stupid ignorant English commentators calling Cech "the best keeper in the world". Everyone else knows that GIGI BUFFON is the best keeper in the world!

I root for Juventus first. Than Italian teams. Than anyone else. The Serie A took a hiatus this year, but it will be the #1 league again next year. With only 1 legitamate Serie A team in the CL it is great to see them reach the finals. It is also good to see how far they came from in the CL. Kaka is the best player in the world and Gattuso is a monster. Pirlo played excellent defensively (yet everyone still thinks he is offense minded) and Seedorf Ambrosini played good as well. I just love to see this type of game from Milan after they blew a perfectly good 2-0 lead in England. I will always root for the Italian teams over any "sexy" EPL queer team. Forza Italia. I hope Milan get their revenge in the final.

Bravooo....

@omair, My family and some of my friends are milan fans so doesnt that apply to me? del piero is italian he would rather see an italian team win, even Trez in the past seasons said he prefered and italian team to win because it was good for serie a.
I said before Italian Juve fans have the right to be happy for Milan. As well as I do have the right to be happy for a rival Saudi club winning the Asian CL. Because they are their own people and the cup is going to the home soil. I was talking about the majority of people here in the forum they are not Italians. Why would they be happy for Italy ?? it doesn't make sense to me .. :)

Vieira slams Milan glory
Thursday 3 May, 2007

Inter midfielder Patrick Vieira doesn’t believe Milan should have taken part in this season’s Champions League.

The Rossoneri reached their eleventh Final after a memorable 3-0 win over Manchester United at the San Siro overturning the first-leg 3-2 deficit.

But the Frenchman claims that they shouldn’t have been allowed to play as a consequence of their part in the Calciopoli scandal.

“I want to pay my compliments to Milan who deserved to reach the Final,” Vieira told Reuters on Thursday.

“However, I still do not understand how they were allowed to play the Champions League after what happened last year.”

The Rossoneri’s presence in the tournament was in doubt after the Calciopoli verdicts stripped them of their second place on the table.

However, UEFA’s emergency panel then decided to admit the San Siro club to the preliminaries, but underlined that they were only slipping through thanks to a legal loophole.

“In any case, they proved their value on the pitch. I don’t want to say they didn’t deserve to reach the Final, they defeated all the sides they faced and that is a fact.

“We are sorry we were not able to do the same, but that belongs to the past. Winning will be next year’s objective,” concluded Vieira.

No they don't represent the league we play in. We play in serie B.
They represent the league and association that took away our pride, our scudetti and our deserved right to play in Europe.

We were punished to be out of champions league for 2 years , Fiorentina won't play in champions league for 2 years even though they will finish top four twice in a row. Lazio was punished to be out of Europe.
But there were double standards for Milan. I hate injustice and that is why i will never hope Milan will win it.

so FUCK YOU milan
so, thats what it comes down to ??

Dont be mad at Milan for Berlusconi getting their asses out of the depths of Calciopoli, while our owners did NOTHING, and our lawyer said we should have been punished worse...

Gattuso, Pirlo, Gilardino, Inzaghi, Nesta, Oddo, and Maldini are the reasons I am happy for Milan....coincidentally, its the same players I cheered for in the WC victory (minus Maldini, who I have cheered for in past WC's)

be bitter all you want....I am happy that an Italian team is going to the final. and not Manure, who I dislike much more than Milan

You said it , you prefer Milan to lead the italian flag in Europe, i prefer Juve to do that, and when that is not possible , i prefer nobody.
Don't play smart here....re-read what I said....I prefer milan OVER the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester and Liverpool.

Cheered like jumping from joy or just congratulated Milan for the win ? He was wearing Milan scarf and jersey? , 'cos i got the feeling that many posters saw the match in front the TV , dressed like that.
I don't really get your point and you're making no sense. Del Piero cheered and hoped that Milan reach the final.....I think he cheered for them for two obvious reasons....

1st, he's Italian, i'm sure Buffon, Camo, and the rest also cheered for them.

2nd he has lot of friends there, from Maldini, Nesta, Rino, Ambrosini etc....

To wish for a team to qualify you don't really need to wear a scarf....don't play it hard on yourself.
