Ronaldinho Will Not Play Against Espanyol
Ronaldinho will not be able to play for FC Barcelona in the crunch derby encounter against Espanyol after having his red card against Getafe upheld
The Spanish Sports Disciplinary Committee (CEDD) rejected Barça's final appeal against the Brazilian's sending off in the game two weeks in Camp Nou.
Frank Rijkaard had included Ronaldinho in his squad for the game on Saturday as the club waited for the decision to come through.
Barça's first appeal was rejected last week and they launched another bid to have the decision overturned, but the CEDD have upheld the one-match suspension.
After scoring in the second minute of the game, Ronaldinho was dismissed after kicking out at David Belenguer five minutes before half-time in the 1-0 win.
Leo Messi is now set to move to the left of the three-pronged attack while Samuel Eto'o will continue as the central striker.
The choice of who plays on the right could come down to a direct contest between Ludovic Giuly and Andrés Iniesta.
