can some one explain to me why most people are saying that manure are falling apart?? i think if they do sell him they will find a decent replacement for him. i believe they will get a huge pile of money for him. i highly doubt he is going to city and chelsea. real madrid would be my guess.

They'll use some of it to buy new players, but most of the fee will likely go to paying against their debt. Like the Ronaldo sale.

I suppose because of their debt. They are clearly weaker without Ronaldo and will be weaker still without Rooney. They are supposed to have £150m in the bank for players (Gill), yet their reduced spending coincides with the focus on their debt problems under Glazer and selling high profile players gives a negative impression no matter the personal circumstances.

There's a major difference between the two: Ronaldo is truly World Class and will be for years to come, and Rooney is a good player who is on the verge of having his head explode.

Ferguson just now in his press conference:

He also insisted Rooney has an ankle injury

So he's off then...
I don't think the recent stuff has anything to do with it.

Ferguson became aware he wouldn't sign a new deal on 14th August.

So lets say that Rooney will leave Utd.
When will that happen and will he play at all until it happens?
He'll play, if he's playing well.

He'll leave in the summer probably, but I wouldn't be surprised if he stays for the two years left on his deal and leaves for nothing.

Who thinks he'll end up at City?
Nah.

If they get 50 mil for him then they will have done good business: Je looks like a lad on the verge of destruction.
I agree.

If Rooney leaves Man Utd in the summer, it may well be the case that it turns out Man Utd had him for the best years of his career.

All of you who understand Ferguson, make a list so I can +rep you.
I didn't understand him in the past and I still don't understand him. Either my English isn't improving or he's not speaking English.
Pfft.

I guess I'd have to make an effort to speak clearly if I ever meet you.

The Glaswegian accent isn't exactly easy on the ear, though.

So Manchester won't use part of the Rooney fee to service some of the club's debt like they did with the Ronaldo fee?:D
