They will look at attack minded midfielders that for sure. Kalou & Anelka can play on the wings so i wouldn't foresee a problem if they signed Rooney & Torres.

Ancelotti is the big name coach that can handle their ego's & rotation wouldn't be an issue considering how many matches are played in england.

Also wasn't Drogba also fishing for a move away?

Why not? They have always have a long term interest in Torres & if Rooney really could leave for a cut price fee, than yeah its possible.

The only strikers that could be fussy about not having a starting spot are Drogba & Anelka, the others know their role in the team.

Also with Man City reportedly making a 20m pound bid for Drogba, i might not be that far fetched.
Chelsea won't get both. It will be one or the other, if they do actually leave.

Should he have said, yes we've been tapping Rooney up since 12 months ago? plus he told the truth Gary Cook and Brian Marwood are the one who speaks with the players not Mancini ;)

No, it was media bullshit. Drogba said that he wants to finish his career in Chelsea and that if he ever was to go, it would be to Marseille.
Okay, thanks.

Chelsea won't get both. It will be one or the other, if they do actually leave.
I know it was merely a question. With Torres being injured so much, my money is on Rooney joining Chelsea.

Andy Carroll's car torched at Kevin Nolan's home

TOON striker Andy Carroll’s car was torched while parked on the drive of team-mate Kevin Nolan's house.

Carroll is living with the Magpies skipper as a condition of his bail after being charged with the alleged assault of a teenager.

Nolan also had his garage door daubed with graffiti when his property in Northumberland was targeted last night.

Police were called after the United pair spotted Carroll’s chrome-plated Range Rover - which he recently bought to celebrate being awarded a new five-year contract - in flames on the drive.

Firefighters arrived at the house at around 7pm.

And when police got there, they found graffiti relating to the Gateshead-born striker scrawled on Nolan’s garage door.

Today, the obscenities had been covered-up with a sheet, while security staff stood guard outside house to prevent any other intruders gaining access.

A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "A car was set on fire at 7.08pm on Wednesday, October 20.

"Police received a report from the fire and rescue service of a fire outside an address.

"Officers attended and a Range Rover was found to be on fire. The fire was extinguished by the fire and rescue service and no one was injured.

"The garage door of the property was also vandalised. Inquiries into the incident are ongoing and police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 0345 043043 ext 69191 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."

Carroll is living with Nolan after appearing in court accused of assaulting an ex-girlfriend. He was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning after police were called to a house in Ponteland where an 18-year-old had suffered head injuries.

The England under-21 forward appeared before Hexham Magistrates’ Court, where he told the bench he was currently living at Jesmond Dene House hotel, in Newcastle.

His case was adjourned until January 10, 2011 with a condition of his bail that he lives with Nolan at the skipper’s home.

It came after Carroll, an Academy product, signed a new five-year contract. After securing the deal, he splashed out on the Range Rover, which has gadgets inside it, including a games console in the back.

The former Joseph Swan School pupil made his first- team debut in November 2006 at the age of 17 and his Premier League debut three months later.

Honestly, why would a professional footballer need to assault a woman? They have scores of drunk, shallow & insecure women that throw themselves at their mercy.

Would be kinda foolish for Chelsea to sign Rooney & not bolster their midfield.

:agree:

I've been asking for a midfielder since before the season started.

VDV, specially at the price he was sold, i'm a fanboy. :D

But actually, any creative midfielder would've done the trick, someone with good vision & passing, i've been saying since before the season started that i'm not comfortable with the idea of playing Mikel, Essien and Ramires and that if Lampard gets an injury we were fucked. And he did :sergio:

Actually, i can't remember the last time Lampard missed so many games in a row.

Dream on, no way tottenham would let go.

As for Lamps being injured so much & selling both Ballack & Deco, that's murphy's law for you.:D

I wanted him during the summer's transfer window when he was at Real, i don't know why Ancelotti didn't even try, fucks sake Spurs got him for 8m. :(

And yeah, i had a hunch, i would rather have signed a more creative midfielder than Ramires, that's for sure.

I would have renewed Ballack, he was useful last season, but he wanted too much money and a 2 year contract, we were offering 1 year and less money.

Deco, well, he wasn't worth what he was earning, which was an exageration.
