Wayne Rooney is a scumbag and I feel a little for Manure fans, but not too much. That's what they get for supporting that club.

But all the worst should be wished to good old Wayne.

i find it hard to imagine rooney in an ac milan jersey i think they r sorted out up front too with ibra and robinho.

They'll use some of it to buy new players, but most of the fee will likely go to paying against their debt. Like the Ronaldo sale.

I suppose because of their debt. They are clearly weaker without Ronaldo and will be weaker still without Rooney. They are supposed to have £150m in the bank for players (Gill), yet their reduced spending coincides with the focus on their debt problems under Glazer and selling high profile players gives a negative impression no matter the personal circumstances.

thanks guys!!

can some one explain to me why most people are saying that manure are falling apart?? i think if they do sell him they will find a decent replacement for him. i believe they will get a huge pile of money for him. i highly doubt he is going to city and chelsea. real madrid would be my guess.
bet your bottom dollar they would go for Torres, but Chelsea would get him instead

Yeah, Torres will cost around 50 million, but I doubt Manchester will offer as much or be able to compete with Chelsea's spending power especially when Roman has been saving his rubles for the last 18 months.

selling Rooney could be the kick-start of Torres leaving Liverpool, unless they get a manager in who can convince him he can actually WIN something there

Henry had lunch with Gerrard and Torres yesterday. The owners seem to be aware of the situation. While they've said that Hodgson will be given a chance I'm almost positive they're looking behind the scenes for a new manager, board room (with the exception of Ayre), and Director of Football.

While it would suck to lose Torres, he is our most valuable asset and probably deserves better than we can give him at the moment.

I think what you say it's true.

Though there's been a certain worrisome behaviour from Carlitos, he's been talking a lot about how he fees old and doesn't enjoys the life of a footballer, he has spoken about retiring too.

they may pick one of them but surely not both.

None of the forwards Chelsea have are going to accept being benched. And the money spending is not as it used to be.

Why not? They have always have a long term interest in Torres & if Rooney really could leave for a cut price fee, than yeah its possible.

The only strikers that could be fussy about not having a starting spot are Drogba & Anelka, the others know their role in the team.

Also with Man City reportedly making a 20m pound bid for Drogba, i might not be that far fetched.

thats a 50:50 argument. Depending on what's the club's best interest. Either way they should think of he's gonna be in the starting 11.

If they buy both, one will be benched unless one can play out wide.

If they give away Drogba it would be a shame as they guy remained commited to them and didn't leave.......
