Slippy G has been the figure of footballing embarrasssment for a while now... actually going to miss how he english fans rate him higher than Pirlo yet gerrard was partly responsible for englands exit at the world cup as well as losing liverpool the title following his " This doesnt fucking slip now" speech

Steven Gerrad is one of the few players in the modern era who decided to stick with his team, despite clearly deserving more. Don't understand the hate, it's good to see loyal players, something which is a dying art these days.

You don't understand the dislike/hate for a Liverpool player? A Liverpool legend?

Oh well..

Much loyalty. Great Man.

eh, he decided to stay in the end, seems loyal to me.

He could of jumped the ship many of times but decided to stay, saying the "negative feedback" from the fans forced him to stay is bull. Negative feedback from the fans did not help keep the AC Milan or Napoli players from jumping the ship.

Yes, except Trez isnt Juve bred and raised local boy.
There was a space of 10 years since Gerrad stated he wanted to leave, don't you think if he was genuine he would have left? He's arguably England's best player in his generation and yet he did not win the EPL

So it turns out that Frank Lampard never signed a contract with new york city and is in fact solely a man city player according to the premier league... I bet that is going to piss chelsea fans off, especially if he wins the league with them this season

nah barca will get rid of enrique first just to please him again
I don't think it's just Messi that is having issues with Lucho, he seems to have lost most of the dressing room. But with all the dirty politics going on at Barca right now it's not even just that. He'll end up being a scapegoat for sure.

The early presidential elections might have to do with trying to get Messi to stay though.

oh yeah no doubt what enrique has done is replicate what he did at roma, basically pissed off the club's biggest player and alienate most of the team with his silly rituals such as telling the team whos playing an hour before kick off, but no doubt messi is pulling a lot of the strings at the club behind the scenes such as his influence for the club to hire tata martino but right now enrique won't win this and he'll be gone by the end of the season if not sooner

Letting two of his best players take a longer vacation when there's a match at a ground you haven't won at in years is a :sergio: of the highest order. And it was never proven that Messi chose Tata, it was all media talk, but regardless it's a bad idea to piss him off because it's bad for the dressing room. The club is bigger than the player though so if he really is acting like a child it's not a good sign, even if he's right. Not to mention going to a club coached by Mourinho has the potential to burn a lot of bridges.

Some pretty dangerous comments from the likes of Gordon Taylor and Steve Bruce.

Can't just pick and choose when you accept the verdict of the courts.
