Interesting signing. With Vieira, Gilberto Silva, Flamini and Fabregas, they don't really need another player there. Unless, of course, they're selling Vieira...
After six years as a Premiership referee Andy D'Urso has been relegated to the Football League next season after failing a performance review.
The demotion could threaten his international career when Fifa conducts its annual review at the end of the year but until then the Essex official can continue to handle top games in Europe.
D'Urso was limited to a dozen Premiership appearances last season when he served a suspension for failing to send off Barry Ferguson despite booking the then Blackburn player twice in a match at Southampton.

Two Football League referees, Martin Atkinson and Andre Marriner, both 34, are to be promoted to the elite squad as part of a move to lower the average age and stimulate competition.
No, but he is a central midfielder, so he'd be competing with that lot for a game. From what madlawyer said though, it sounds like he won't have any trouble with that.
Hleb a central midfielder? Are you sure about that John?
I'm pretty sure he is a left attacking midfielder or winger, so he would probably be Pires' replacement or whoever else plays on the left side of midfield.
I haven't seen a lot of Hleb recently but I'm pretty sure he's primarily a central attacking midfielder who can play on the flanks if necessary. I know for a fact that he isn't an out and out winger.
Well Stuttgart IIRC used him primarily as the left midfielder in the diamond midfield formation, however I have seen him play attacking midfield, usually prefering the left side.
That's interesting. If he's intended as a winger, he might leave Van Persie and Reyes more time up front. That would spell then end for Pires, unless he's going to be used to back up Ljungberg.
Either way, he looks like pushing someone out of the squad!
So is Bergkamp (unless he changes his mind again). I guess that's another hole he'd fill (by freeing Reyes/van Persie from wing duty. That said, Reyes might get unsettled again!
No he wont Mikhail, cos Reyes has settled down fully now. Anyway, Hleb is a great signing. And we'll soon be showing the Premiership who's boss once again.
