this morning RadioRadio(Roman radio, Juve haters) said 6 months and Patrick Müller was coming.

No official news yet but it seems something like 3 months or a bit less than that.

yep, it's on gazzetta, nestichannel...

he'll be back by the end of September. Juts take it easy and take a couple of days more. Let's not risk him.

FORZA CHIELLO!!! :flag:

we can manage playing about 6 games with Mellberg-Legrottaglie/Knezevic.

I was afraid we'd buy a crappy D for a lot of dough so now we can concentrate in getting a good one next season.

hopefully it is just 45 days. although what will we do if he gets injured when the transfer window is closed? We still need another body, ivanovic on a loan would be ideal but it seems he has his heart set on milan.

I know what you mean about getting a crappy d instead of a good one next season but i think its a risk that we cant afford to take, we only have 2 fit centrebacks at the moment, andrade is dead, no one knows about knezevic and chiellini is injured, there is no depth or quality there....

Would you trust Secco under pressure if he was forced to buy a CB now? We can't even trust him under normal circumstances.

We'd be so lucky if we could get Ivanovic now. I don't see quality defenders available atm.

45 days on gazzetta.it. seems confirmed. That will make us 3 (at max 4) games without him. We can do that. Too bad it's against fiorentina, but anyway. Bringing a new defender makes little sense in my opinion, especially someone like ivanovic. I mean he can't even learn italian until his first game. how should he integrate (besides the language now) that quickly... I think if we bring someone like ivanovic, it will do us more bad than good (for the short-term). I'd rather suffer those 50 days without chiello, and then get back to where we were, in order to get that world-class player next season... a zapata, depending on how he performs this season, or someone else for the future

and two of them will probably be CL. Still better than him being months out.

in short no... he cant be trusted to find us the player we need...

ivanovic is basically a milan player so if he is ruled out then will will be struggling for a quality player your right. we cant afford to just piss our money on a chiellini back up, we need a partner for him...

I've always had a soft spot for Marquez and he's a good defender even if he is a bit erratic but i cant really think of anyone else... How is the french leage looking for good defenders at the moment? They usually adapt pretty well to the italian style of play and my knowledge of that league is poor at best

Don't forget the CL matches.
I believe he'll be out for the first two rounds in the groups.
You're right, just checked it. http://www.uefa.com/uefa/keytopics/kind=64/newsid=551134.html

Now this is where it gets tricky...
I don't know really if getting ivanovic is good at this point. I mean, he's a young player, we're 'stuck' with him afterwards, so to say. He would be our long-term solution and, honestly, i could imagine better players to field for the future... He's a gamble, and i'm so worried that we might end up with a guy who was so pushed by media, and all the chelsea buzz and in the end couldn't handle the pressure... i mean we're talking about a defender who should bring us CL and serie-a during the following 4 or 5 seasons... I don't know really.

Honestly, i think we should put some trust in our remaining defenders. Maybe we have a little luck and end up in the 2nd seed-group and avoid the 'big fishes', and somehow survive them. i mean mellberg and legro... there are worse defenses around...
