fellaini, is better in playing the ball then de jong, better in the air, same in duel power
defour > strootman, personal opinion, you should watch how he was at standard, captain at 18

sneijder is my favorite dutchie by a very long margain. de bruyne has potential to be simular(imo), but thats gonna take quite a while.

dembele can only dribble, i dont rate him

witsel is solid recently, but they have allways overrated him, cant understand they payd 40 mil for him. defour is plain better.

i refer to our mid3, as in they got less quality but more duelpower then any mid3 in the world. same goes for belgium if you field defour-fellaini

Benteke, is a usefull targetman, that has a very important role in our team. he also scores the occasional goal.

Like allways, you only value the technicaql ability of players.

Defour, is an absolute boss in the dressingroom, and makes players around him play better. He was captain of the standard side were fellaini and witsel came from, that eliminated everton and nearly liverpool when both were good teams.

Defour, fellaini, witsel, is what we are supposed to field

And just like juve, they have less ability then sneijder, vandervaart(past it) and de jong, but better in duels, and will win the midfield battle, just like marchisio, vidal, pogba would against any 3man mid

Benteke isnt european pedigree like huntelaar and van persie, but he is the targetman belgium needs, and scores his goals. as a targetman he does pretty well

hazard has been $#@! for the NT, but in time that will be solved, and how he plays at chelsea, makes him the best player in the benelux along with van persie

against serbia, a known hardpressing team, we missed fellaini and defour.

his solution, was to field witsel, dembele(former striker) and de bruyne(technically an ss), behind hazard, chadly and benteke

we had nothing of duelpower in the midfield and got bossed of the field for 34 mins, untill benteke scored our second chance on a beckhamquality cross from de bruyne

thing is, we should have been 4 goals down by that, as serbia ran straight at the penaltybox and got plenty of huge chances.


its alot like we had at home against shaktar, and even worse. but belgium scored first, and juve didnt.

I was looking at the Belgium squad the other day, very nice selection indeed, and ~20 players 25 or under with a lot of talent.

I remmeber similar scenario with Mpenza or whatver his name was, that supposed to be next best forward, and they had some good young team back then too if i remember correctly.

Gillet seems to me a better option then alderweireld who is a center back and at that place he finds to much competion to start. Vermealen, kompany, verthongen, lombearts etc are better as center back then alderweireld.

currently, he's just an average keeper, back then he was fantastic
